lots of great info!

Not sure why people giving this a one star. I think that’s unfair. The app has tons of information and is easy to use. They are still updating areas, but what has been completed seems very professional. And it’s much more comprehensive than other similar apps.

i downloaded it and it just brought me to a welcome screen but nothing happened for 5 minutes and there was nothing to click i deleted a re downloaded it didn’t work tho idk what to do looks cool in the pics tho

Hi, Just shoot us an email at nextascentguides@gmail.com and we will make sure you can get access. To bypass the launch screen all you need to do is click the orange sign up button.

Scam

This app is a scam. I paid for a guide and then about a month later opened the app to all of a sudden being prompted to sign in. They had no problem taking my 14$ for the guide without a sign in. I’ve entered my email to reset my login password on the oft chance that I ever had to even sign-in to begin with, and have not received a password reset.

The app itself is quite terrible from a UX perspective, but I was looking past it. Now I think this is just theft.

Hi Tom Tom, We are for certainly not a scam. And I sincerely apologize for any issues you are having with a password reset. Just email us I will fix it :) Please email me at nextascentguides@gmail.com or under the FAQ/Support tab in the app where there is a section explaining how to contact us if you have an issue with guidebooks and contact info. Please email us and we will fix any sign in issue you have. We recently started offering full-library access which is why you are now prompted to sign in, but you will always own the guide you purchased forever. Sometimes the password reset email hits your junk or spam folder. Please email me at nextascentguides@gmail.com or under that FAQ/Support tab in the app. I will make certain you can access your guidebook. We have an email and phone number for support and I want to make sure you can access the guide you got. Thanks so much

Great climbing resource

Good beta, I like the interface, easy to navigate and the topo view of the routes is spot on for our local crags in PA! Well worth it!!!

Not a “guide”

I have been climbing for 20 years. The app is not user friendly. I hate scrolling through every book to find the one I want. I wish there was a search feature. The guide I got (traxx and trenches for PA) is terrible. It’s just pictures of rocks without any info on where each boulder is, no overview showing the individual routes. Just stumble around until you find something that looks like the picture. Sorry I paid money for this. Basically got scammed by a fellow climber.

Does not work

Website does not support app and visa versa anymore. Will take your money and allow no other options.

Hi, We recently re-did our entire app and re-did all of our climbing guidebooks. The issue you had a long time ago should be fixed now and you can access your purchases. If you have any issues just email nextascentguides@gmail.com and I will restore your old guidebooks. Please check us out again I think you will love our new platform and guidebooks.

Excellent guidebook app

This is probably the best guidebook app out there. I love the feature where it just shows you the area you are at by just tapping the map. The new version of this app is awesome.

App is not functional

I tried to set up an account and use the restore purchases option that is shown from the website but the app doesn’t provide this option for me therefore I cannot access any guidebooks

Not working

I’ve loaded this on an iPhone XS and there seems to be no way to purchase guidebooks or download contact. I don’t know if it’s me or the app but I’m fairly tech savvy and can’t find a way in. Too bad.

Lots of issues lots of potential

Not easy to use/purchase guide books no free previews and no way to view the area in question and lastly not way to sort states, again I love the ones once you access them but very difficult to use

Crap

Pretty crappy. Bought it for the Pennsylvania guide. As far as I can tell, it's all taken directly from the guidebook "secrets of the keystone state " which was also an awful guidebook. In the app, few Walter dam bouldering has its own download and it is also the area showcased in two other separate downloads. I don't know what to say... I rarely do reviews, but this was such a let down.
