Lots of potential

Next Due has a lot of potential. The interface works well. The integration with simple AI features is a bonus. However, the app crashes frequently, especially when entering bills. Entering the amount when due seems to crash the app. There are other places in the app where viewing the details and making changes causes the app to crash. Not quite reliable enough for daily use.

Further, why is the reminder like clickbait? Tell me what bill is due, not just that one is coming up.
There also needs to be a field to record the transaction details. Almost all the apps leave out the field to record the confirmation number. This is a vital piece of information for me.

Response from developer

Thanks for the detailed report — and for the kind words about the app's potential. Version 1.6 is out now with two fixes from your review: a crash in the Mac app's Through Payday views is fixed, and reminder notifications now name the bill that's due instead of arriving generic. If you're still seeing crashes after updating — especially when entering an amount — please let me know the steps; that report would help pin it down. — Steven
