Can't import or create
I can see recipes I've imported via the desktop app, but I can't import recipes or create new recipes inside this app, love the idea so I'll keep checking back, real game changer once it works!

Fabulous addition
Great addition to nextcloud server and the app is super useful when cooking - thank you so much
seems decent but doesn't work with latest nextcloud
Downloaded this today, but it doesn't see to be compatible with the nextcloud API in version 29.0.1.
Life changing
Before downloading this app, my life was a futile crawl from one land to the next. My leg bones were too fragile for me to walk normally , so I had to shimmy on my shins to get place to place. Hours I spent picking pebbles out of my thighs could have been put toward working on my draft of the next great American novel. But instead I lived my life groveling, until that fateful day…..when I discovered this APP!
From the knowledge bestowed upon me from this application, I learned of a recipe to cure my ailing bones, a calcium elixir that could revive my broken spirit: MAGIC MAGOO’S MAGIC MILK
From one droplet my calves swelled to the thickness of redwood trees, the girth of a mighty eucalyptus. I was…..SAVED!
Such a recipe was contained only here, after decades of my suffering. I implore you to download and receive its benefits, if you too are in a situation that I was once in.
PS if you cannot find adder essence, Pygmy sauce works just as well

Great app, but issues with NC28
As of 2/26/24, I see this error when I try to create a recipe:
Create Exception: Unsupported operation: Cannot modify unmodifiable map
Great app otherwise, I can view recipes as I need. I will change to 5 stars when this is fixed!

This app is amazing, and cookbooks are an underrated feature of nextcloud generally!
Do have an error when adding from bbc food (error when trying to cast a bill object) but it still works flawlessly so whatever causes the error doesn’t matter.

Couple of suggestions.
Thank you for this app and phone support. I have tried many recipe “tools” and this one is fantastic. The url import is fantastic when it can read the site.
Couple of suggestions if I may.
Allow formatting in the “Description” box even if it html markup would be fantastic.
An “add” section for notes or variations would be awesome. For example sometimes there are slow collet or Instapot variations. Would be great to keep it all together.

Great featured app
Thank you to the developer for this great free app. The cookbook edition of NextCloud makes a great addition for families that use NextCloud.

A good app with great potentials!
App works great connecting to my Nextcloud’s Cookbook.
Two critical enhancements:
1. Ability to search by tag and category (currently only in recipe name/title)
2. Allow clicking on hyperlink contained in recipe Description. Often times there are two source links available for a recipe: a YouTube video and a web page with written details.

Simply doesn’t work
I logged in without issue, and can see the recipes I’ve added in Nextcloud dashboard and their associated images. If I try to open one though, I get an error that “_OneByteString is not a subtype of type int”. Issue appears to be on the app side, as the cookbook app works fine in Nextcloud. Hopefully an update soon and I’ll change my review.

Unable to login
I use 2FA and have checked the appropriate box in the advanced section and verified username and password but it is a no go. I do use what might be strange characters in the password, and am wondering if the app isn’t parsing them correctly.

So glad to see someone finally made an app for Cookbook! The UI looks great. One useful feature would be to have an action in the iOS app to share a recipe with the app so that you can browse sites and import without opening the app.

Your data is your data. This app connects to your Nextcloud server and allows you to see your cooking recipes anywhere in the world, while remaining private and secure.
This program developer is very talented and has apps for both iOS and Android.
If you use Nextcloud I highly suggest you give this app a try.
