The app under windows has captioning. But not under MacBook! Waste of my money

NextPVR does not work for me.
This was a big waste of money for me........does not work. Very disappointed.
Works great - super easy!
Automatically found my NextPVR server on my network without any configuration required. My recordings playback on my iPhone. TV guide loads and allows the option to record a show or a season. Everything nicely laid out & easy to navigate. Wish I’d found NextPVR sooner. Amazing! (No affiliation with the company by the way. Just an extremely satisfied, cable cutting user).

Can’t really rate app crashes instantly, I want it to work or I want my money back

Works great, not worried about pause play options, except for recordings. Bought this as an attempt to solve playback issues using kodi on nividia shield, but no option to enable subtitles which is a must for my wife. Somebody needs to fix the live tv issues with shield weather it's nividia, npvr, or Kodi wherever the issue lays or this app needs to be fully functional on both android and ios since it cost money.

Great addition to your Htpc
If you run NextPVR on your home theatre pc then you are going to want to grab this app. Schedule your recordings from you iPad or iPhone and watch on the go.
Needs some improvements
Happy to support the developer, but would consider this app very much still in development. Regularly crashes on iOS 12, and lacks functionality. Great for making scheduled recordings from the EPG, but managing recordings is limited, and haven’t found a way to delete recordings from the app. Also needs the ability to remember playback position (probably more a backend server issue, but other player apps can do this). Also needs the ability to download recordings to the app for offline playback. Until some of this is resolved I’m not sure it’s worth the purchase price.

Fully licensed Dolby Audio,
Better playback controls,
Ability to download recordings from server to play on the go, either converted or same as on server.
Ability to remote control app from another device also a request for the Windows program.
Better airplay support for playing shows and live tv on newer devices
Server: ability to capture and convert to h.264 and convert and preserve audio for playing on the go.
The app also needs proper pause on background support as playback stops when you tap a notification or bring up control center.
Add a pop up dialog for choosing whether to play a video from the beginning or not without long pressing the recording.
With the above features the app would be amazing,

Almost there
A recent update was a big game changer for me: direct stream. This is a big deal because it is much faster and doesn’t require video transcoding. I love it.
The major piece I still see is missing is a way to quickly jump 30 seconds forwards or backwards.
It appears the video can see the comskip commercial markers, but unfortunately it doesn’t auto skip the commercials. That would be a nice feature.

Doesn’t work
I just payed 9.99$ for this app and it doesn’t even work. What is going on?
Work great
Works great for me. I previously used stream-to-me and ceton media center. This app does what I previously needed two apps for. Would be nice to have more video skip controls (e g skip forward 60 sec or back 15 sec) but that’s minor compared to being able to watch recorded video and live video!
Needs work
iPhone 6s Plus: The app works good if you are in the same network as the server. But if I hit guide on the app while outside then the app crashes. I'm a computer tech so I know about port forwarding and all required to have this work, except that it doesn't.

Updated Review: I Love It!
Recent improvements in the app have made this one a real winner. An incredible accomplishment really, to be able to watch over the air broadcasts on my mobile device. Worth every cent.
Outstanding
If, like me, you are a user of NPVR then this app is a must have. It gives you access to your entire NPVR library on your iPad and other iOS devices. Worked right out of the box. Even shows commercial breaks indicated by Comskip. Two thumbs up!
