About

This application uses the smartphone’s NFC interface to power and communicate with the UHF2NFC Converter device by TERTIUM Technology. Once the NFC scan button is pressed, the UHF2NFC Converter starts scanning for UHF tags every 0.5 seconds. If no UHF tag is detected within the maximum time, the NFC scan automatically ends without any result. Otherwise, as soon as a UHF tag is detected, the NFC scan ends with the reading of an NDEF message of type URI, dynamically generated using the UHF tag data. Consequently, the application reacts to the NDEF message by displaying the web page pointed to by the link contained in the URI record just read via the NFC interface. This application also uses the smartphone’s NFC interface to read NFC tags, as well as the camera to scan barcodes/QR codes, and keyboard input to scan UHF tags via TERTIUM Technology readers. If these data carriers are correctly formatted, the application responds by displaying the web page indicated by the extracted link.
