Undermines NGC’s credibility

Constantly acts like it’s been hacked into. It continually asked for you to sign in… like right after you’ve signed in and also when going from one tab to another. For example, to check submission status, it takes three logins. And then, after you’ve successfully logged in during the same session multiple times, it tells you that you need to change your password. This is behavior that security experts say indicate a site has been compromised. Oh yea, just who I want to trust my valuables with.

Free No More!

I used this app regularly to verify NGC slabs by using the scanner feature. Not anymore! With the new update comes the mandatory membership. Not cool and certainly doesn't make me wanna run out and become a member. FYI. PCGS scanner app is still free.... guess they care more about keeping their fakes out of the field more than making a quick buck.

Still sucks as of 17-June-26

I read all the negative reviews, then I saw the app was updated a month ago, so gave it the benefit of the doubt. That was dumb.

Overall functionality is generally limited, the Ux is shaky and isn’t well mapped. What made me delete the app immediately, though, is the exact function I was looking for; some place “official” to track my coins (like the PSA app…). This app advertises that function, but to get to it, after you have logged into the app, you click the button, which opens a browser window, where you are prompted to… log into again…(?) Annnd when you do, you get an error.

Just get a notebook and a pen. It’ll be less frustrating and save you time.

Just use a browser instead

The app requires you to login TWICE to see your submissions/grades. And manual username/password entry, not thumbprint or FaceID. So, very tedious and slower than a browser. It’s not a native app either but a web app. All around clunky. I want to like it as I check for grades and submission status often.

What happened?

I’m running iOS 26.4.2. Anytime I run a scan on a container, the app just crashes. Can you fix it, please?

Garbage

This app is complete garbage. It doesn’t work at all. It will not scan barcodes and when you enter a barcode, it just says. Valid barcode don’t waste your time!

Cannot verify barcodes

This app is bad to say the least. It crashes every time you scan or enter a cert number.

Going to stick with PCGS because their cert lookup system is incredibly smooth and easy.

Keeps Closing, glitches need fixed

Every time I try to verify a coin
or up something app closes

Keeps Crashing

Trying to scan bar code, app keeps crashing. Need to improve.

Really not that great

The most useful function of this app has been the ability to look up coins based on their serial numbers. Well a recent update has caused that function to crash the app, which then closes. Been waiting for several weeks for a fix and nothing.

Doesn’t work

Great

Love it

Not Great

The app crashes every time I try to look up a coin by its certification number. For such a prestigious company, their app is woefully inadequate.

Missing the Mark

I am a huge fan of NGC in the coin grading and encapsulation space, but I have been routinely let down by its website and mobile app— I could list dozens upon dozens of examples. I would go so far as to say NGC’s IT department is incompetent and is doing the company a disservice, especially when compared to the likes of its number one competitor, PCGS. Something needs to change. Soon I hope.

Useless

Doesn’t give anymore information than the label on the coin. No mintage or value information. Before what they call an upgrade that information was on the app. This is by far the dumbest so called upgrade ever.

Garbage App

This app is a disaster. Someone at NGC should see what PCGS is doing and copy it. Hard to believe that a company like NGC can have an app this bad.

useless

unsure what app is used for; still ISO of coin app to catalog my collection & learn more about my coins

Will not open

Looking for information about a coin. The one offered for sale when I used the numbers came up as good when I looked for pop data it listed one as details and did not show the one I was interested in.
A seller is most likely going to lose the sale .
I updated the app and it does not seem to want to open correctly

Hard to navigate

NGC needs to update this app.
Remember guys people are trusting you to grade their coins and if they can’t even navigate your site, it doesn’t look good.

Genuinely the Worst I’ve Seen

Had some NGC coins added to the collection recently and wanted to add them to my digital collection like I do with my PCGS coins. THE APP IS TERRIBLE. None of it actually does anything, it just sends you to the website to do things. Along with this, the app signs you out once you close it making you log back in. This feels like a high schooler built an app for a class project and submitted it for like a letter grade of C-. Genuinely so terrible and the reason I’m going to be sticking with PCGS.
