About
Understand the Bible like the first audience did.
The New Ground English Translation (NGET) is the whole Bible, translated from Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek into the English people speak today. When a word means more than one English word can say, it's marked in the text. Tap it to see what's underneath.
PLAIN ENGLISH, NOTHING LEFT OUT
Every idea in the original stays in the English. What goes is the church vocabulary that stands between a modern reader and the meaning. Grace becomes "undeserved kindness." Repent becomes "rethink everything." Eternal life becomes "limitless life."
WORD NOTES
More than 43,000 notes sit beside the text. Each one shows the Hebrew or Greek word, what it means literally, what a first reader would have known, and why NGET chose its wording.
ABOUT EACH CHAPTER
A short background opens every chapter: when and where it was written, who it was written for, and what was happening.

HOW IT'S MADE
Anthropic's AI model, Claude, drafted each chapter under published guidelines that people wrote and keep revising. People are reviewing the chapters one at a time, and each chapter shows whether its review is done. Spot a problem? Report it from any verse.

Going to a passage is faster. The search box is bigger, comes first on the home screen, and stays at the top of the book list while you scroll. Short references like heb11, gen 15 and ezk 37 all work.
