About
The Storyliner app offers visitors to the Toronto Holocaust Museum custom-designed interactive tours accessed through pre-loaded tablets given to each visitor entering the museum. With this app, visitors access digital stories and content at nine different “stops” throughout the museum. As the visitor pans a given area with the tablet, special “markers” trigger the playing of enhanced, additional content including text, photos, videos, animations, and 3D models through augmented reality. It provides a virtual exhibition experience in the physical museum that continues and deepens individual survivor stories through the first-person accounts, artifacts, photos, and documents that supplement those on display. Through AR, these components come to life. The Storyliner tour offers nine touchpoints from Pre-1933 to 2000s Canada to allow deeper, guided, interactive learning about the Holocaust through events in the survivors' lives.
