Meh

I was excited to see this app. Like the original game you have the snake eating nibbles and growing bigger so you have to plan ahead. It has the pills dropping down just like the original game. However, I can’t figure out a way to make this fit into my iPad so you only get to see part of the level. This makes it incredibly difficult to plan with your snake is going because you don’t really know where all the nibbles are. So when I think about playing this game versus another, I’d rather play a game where I can get the whole screen onto my iPad. Also, the directional pad doesn’t work very well so it’s pretty easy to miss what you were trying to do and then when you try harder and sooner suddenly it responds.

Needs work

The backgrounds are incredibly jarring plus they scroll differently than the maze itself, which is disorienting. As for the directional arrow, it is too much in the way and should stay centered on the screen or maybe be much smaller in the top toolbar, or provide a setting to hide it.

I do not recall the falling pill from the original game. It is unclear what it adds besides an element of pure luck (once the snake has grown sufficiently, it is basically impossible to change course to catch that pill).

Anyway, good effort but the clean design of the original game should be adopted. Also, the difficulty progression is too fast, unlike the original, so many players will give up quickly.
