Improvement
Please move the mute button on the media tab. When you swipe up on an iPhone to close or change the app you always hit the mute button. :). Simple fix please.
Hit & miss
Very hit and miss as to whether it’ll work when you go to use the app. Either never opens, opens but only shows a black screen or just does function or work when it has been for weeks. Absolutely useless tech
Worse and worse
The whole system is terrible. The cameras keep going offline more and more. I can’t play back any history on any of them anymore either.
Fire your developers
Yes, all of them. This app has been complete trash for the last three years. Some of the most basic tech, these bumbling idiots don’t know what they’re doing.
Awesome…if it was 2014
This is a terrible product for 2026. Really bad compared to other apps. It would take one developer less than a week to modernize. I have to click so many buttons to get to where I want to be. I wish for an alternative so bad but I’m stuck with it. Makes us not use our in house speaker systems. We just use Bluetooth.

Terrible user interface and etc
Because of the system we bought (wish we hadn’t) we have to use this app. The meaning of each icon is not at all obvious. The app often won’t open easily. Wish we had chosen Sonos…

App crash
App won’t open, when it does, it just opens to a black screen.
Does exactly what it should do
Having moved from Control4 this is a breath of fresh air. The fact my installer has the ability to add/remove buttons and change layouts of screens rather than only use the default ‘remotes’ or views is brilliant.
While default pages/views work well, with a skilled installer Nice is much more malleable to your needs, overall I’m very happy.

Temperature controls no longer work with all and smart home
Cannot get temperature controls to work with my ecobee system. Super annoying for how much this system costs. Upgrade your software Nice Viewer to work!!
Used to be fine
Now about 75% of the I open the app it does it’s connect stuff and then the screen is just black. Force close, try again and again. Then sometimes it will work.
Amazing Upgrades
System is just as good as the company who does the job. If you have a solid network, system works great without any hiccups. New software has so much flexibility and new driver interactions with other brands.
Stuck in 2018
While the app gets a small amount of updates, no real development has occurred for the functionality and stability since launch. When introduced in 2021, Nice Viewer was already outdated. 4 years later it is positively Jurassic. Some basic Apple functionality, such as Split View, aren’t supported. Custom home screens? Not here. Shortcuts? Try elsewhere. It’s a shame.

Cable interface is terrible.
The rest is pretty good, like everything automation takes a bit of maintenance and resets sometimes.

My system works amazing! I guess if your system has issues it’s more of an installer fault .
Terrible
Lights with app stopped working. Attempted to call customer support. There’s a long phone tree that eventually leads to a recording that says they can’t help you.
Doorbell is annoying and difficult to stop even when you answer the door.
There’s no one to help you. Poor product with poor service. Highly don’t recommend

Crashing more now after update and automatically opens up. Hard to select other system.
