Night Event Log

See what changed without reviewing hours of video. Night Event Log turns your iPhone into a private, local event recorder for a room, doorway, hotel room, pet area, luggage, desk, shelf, or other space. Despite its name, the app can be used during the day or at night. While the app remains open in the foreground, it watches for selected changes and saves photos only when a sensor responds. RECORD CHANGES, NOT HOURS OF VIDEO Night Event Log does not continuously record video. It can respond to events such as: * Loud or repeated sounds * Movement, lifting, or rotation of the iPhone * Activity near the proximity sensor * Charging cable disconnection or charging start * A sudden change in brightness * A visible change in the camera scene * A manual test capture The microphone is used only to measure changes in sound level. Audio recordings are not saved. ON-DEVICE AI PHOTO DESCRIPTIONS The main event photo can be analyzed by an image-capable AI model included with the app. * Photo analysis runs on the iPhone * Photos are not uploaded to an external AI server * The AI provides a short description of what appears to be visible * It does not reliably identify people, danger, crime, illness, or medical events AI descriptions may be incorrect, especially when a photo is dark, blurred, incomplete, or partially obstructed. SEE WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE AND AFTER When possible, the app saves up to three photos: * A moment before the event * The main event photo * A moment after the event This provides useful context without creating a long video recording. MODES FOR DIFFERENT SITUATIONS Choose from Automatic, Bedroom, Doorway, Travel & Hotel, Pet, or Custom mode. Each mode adjusts sound, device movement, proximity, brightness, and camera-scene detection for a different use. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Photos and logs are stored locally inside the app. There is no cloud synchronization, remote viewing, or automatic photo upload.
