About
Did you hear something during the night?
Did it look like your iPhone had moved when you woke up?
Was the charger disconnected?
Did something in the room seem different?
But you were asleep, so you do not know what happened.
Night Event Log is designed to help reduce that small uncertainty.
Before going to bed, open the app and tap Start.
Your iPhone uses sound, device motion, proximity sensor changes, and charging status changes as triggers. When needed, it captures a photo with the rear camera.
When there is enough light in the camera image, the app can also use changes in room brightness or visible scene changes as recording triggers.
If the image is too dark, camera-based change detection is paused, and the app relies on sound, device motion, and other sensors instead.
Captured images are briefly described by on-device AI.
In the morning, you can review a time-stamped log and check what may have happened during the night.
Photos and logs are stored inside the app.
Images and sensor information are not sent to external servers.
The microphone is used to detect sound levels, but audio recordings are not saved.
This app is not a security guarantee, medical diagnosis tool, sleep diagnosis app, fall detector, or emergency alert service.
It does not secretly use the camera or microphone in the background.
While logging, the app must remain open in the foreground.
What happened while you were asleep?
Night Event Log helps you briefly review the moments you did not see.
