Blast from the past
It's like the good old days playing shadowgate and de ja vu. The visuals are great and sounds great too. It's pretty straight forward with a few clues not so obvious. Great game overall.
Haunting atmosphere
Can't remember the last time I died in an adventure game. Brings back memories of unforgiving games like Uninvited and Shadowgate. This, alogn with Monument Valley out, the app store is get a nice dose of adventure games.
A great adventure
I grew up with adventure games when I was you and this game takes me back to the old days. I like the classic interface and the story a lot. I wish more adventure games were this good.

All the games I played in the past came with hints and instructions. I paid $2.99 for this game. When I opened up the game to start playing, nothing came up showing me what to do but a pop up asking me to buy the Game Guide for another $2.99. I did buy it, otherwise I did not know how to start the game. I felt like being cheated.

Great play!
Just finished the game, I really enjoyed it. Was stumped a few times, but the game always offered enough hints for me to eventually figure out the puzzles. Looking forward to the next game from this team!

Interesting implementation of good old text-based games, but with the fancy UI. Nice humor and plot makes it all the better.
It is about time
I always thought games like this would make its way to tablets but haven't seen many around. I don't know why none are ported over from PC as well. Myst and Monkey island would be so nice but this will have to do. Great game.

About the lack of adventure games
Another reviewer said it'd be nice if Myst and Monkey Island had been ported over. They were. Years ago. Monkey Island in 5 series and a few special editions. Myst and it's follow up. There are a ton of games like this. You just have to look beyond the featured games section.
Where is the game guide?
Looks nice, but I'm stuck in front of the broken lock to access the house far from the village.
