About
Bring light back without losing the moment.
NightRelight improves dark, underexposed, and backlit photos directly on your iPhone. It can relight an ordinary photo or process a Live Photo while preserving its motion and sound.
CAN IT RELIGHT A LIVE PHOTO?
Yes. Choose a Live Photo, let NightRelight process its still image and motion frames, then play the original and result before saving a new Live Photo.
DOES IT WORK IN THE BACKGROUND?
Long Live Photo jobs can continue after you switch apps on supported iOS versions. If iOS pauses a job, completed progress stays on your device and NightRelight can notify you to resume.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THE RESULT?
• Compare before and after
• Play the original and relit Live Photo
• Adjust lighting strength
• Crop ordinary photos
• Save a processed copy to Photos
• Process several ordinary photos in a batch
• Keep and reopen a local edit history
PRIVATE, ON-DEVICE PROCESSING
Relighting and face detection use the bundled Core ML model on your iPhone. NightRelight has no photo-processing server, account requirement, subscription, in-app purchase, advertising, or third-party analytics.
BUILT FOR DIFFICULT LIGHT
NightRelight is designed for dim nighttime scenes and backlit portraits where the subject is visible but too dark. Auto lighting measures the finished still image, keeps extra light on the subject, and matches Live Photo motion to the still to reduce brightness jumps.
NightRelight is a lighting tool, not a face generator, identity replacement tool, or beauty filter. Model-based processing can alter fine details, especially at high strength. Compare with the original before saving. Results and processing time vary by photo and device.

What's New in NightRelight
1.1.0
October 5, 2026
Live Photos now stay alive after relighting. Play the original and result, compare before and after, and save a new Live Photo with motion and sound. Long Live Photo jobs can continue in the background on supported iOS versions, save progress when paused, and notify you when they are ready or need to resume. Auto lighting is brighter and more consistent for dark and backlit faces.
