Why don’t the email alert links open in the app instead of the browser?

Recent update was bad for Apple only subscribers. All my saved articles were eliminated and now asking me to log in to sort news sections

It covers a lot of areas, including business and political trends in Asia and globally from Asian perspectives. Highly recommended and the subscription is cheaper than Japan Times.
There should be an option to download the digital version of the paper copy of the newspaper

The app on mobile devices is working very well. What I miss is the possibility to change the font size while reading an article as the zoom function is disabled, but not leaving the article and go to settings then go back to the article. I also read the News on my PC and there the website is very slow to open and when changing to a different article.
It would be good when using a link for a Nikkei article in the email when this would open the mobile app instead the web site

Articles get “stuck”
App has developed a tendency of getting “stuck” on articles and I can’t scroll. Many times I try to scroll up or down, and it snaps back to the same position I was reading. Major nuisance that means I can’t read many articles now.
