NipaPlay v1.11.7 What's New Skip Intro and Outro Support The player can now automatically detect opening and ending segments during anime playback and show a Skip button in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Detection uses both AniSkip community data and danmaku timestamp inference. If neither source is available, the feature silently falls back without affecting playback. You can turn this on or off in player settings. The Skip button is automatically hidden in Picture-in-Picture mode and when the UI is locked. Danmaku and Watch History Fixes A regression in the underlying runtime was causing widespread failures when logged in, including danmaku loading, rankings, playback history, favorites, and anime detail pages. Separately, switching between app versions could leave the watch history database permanently unreadable due to a non-idempotent migration, accompanied by excessive error logging and high CPU usage. Both issues are now resolved, and existing history records are preserved. Multi-Device Sync: Media Library Connection and Backup Fix Under certain conditions, the multi-device sync feature could cause media library connections to be lost. Additionally, sync settings were not included in full backups. Both issues are now fixed. macOS System Proxy Now Respected On macOS, NipaPlay was bypassing the system proxy and connecting directly, causing danmaku matching, playback history, and other features to fail on campus or corporate networks. The app now correctly reads and applies system proxy settings, including proxy exception lists. Android TV Improvements When no media sources are configured, the media library now correctly displays its title, a connection prompt, and an option to add media, all navigable with the remote. Also fixed: incorrect remote control mappings for the Menu and Back keys, and a QR code input dialog that was cut off on TV screens. Jellyfin 12 Login and Playback Fix Jellyfin 12 disables the legacy authentication method by default, which was causing login to fail with a 400 error. Media browsing, playback progress reporting, and subtitle requests were also affected. NipaPlay now uses the standard authentication protocol for Jellyfin 12. Emby is unaffected and continues to use its existing protocol. Danmaku Engine Improvements Glyph pre-warming now happens during video loading, eliminating the stutter that could occur when danmaku first appeared at the start of a video. Progress saving no longer runs on the main thread, fixing dropped frames in danmaku animations.
