Best is Fan 3
Have tried every sound machine app. Fan 3 on this is perfection. Extremely simple app.
Great Sleep App
Great App! Developer responds quickly when alerted to a problem due to software updates. My family doesn’t vacation without it!!
Won’t keep running
I loved this app.. both my son and I use it at night to sleep. Ever since the iOS update, and despite the app update, the fan won’t continue to play when the phone locks. It only runs when the phone is open and we can’t keep it like that all night. Such a bummer to have to find a new one.
Update killed this app
I can’t use it anymore. There is no sound at all now with the new update to iOS
Screwed up the app
Now it only works when the screen is on. Useless if you’re trying to sleep which I’m assuming is the point of the app

When my screen phone locks the fan noise stops too! Please fix!

Since the new update every time my screen locks or goes to sleep it cuts the app off
Great for sleeping
I love this app! But I recently did the update that was supposed to fix the bugs and not it’s not working unless the app is on screen. I can’t use it at night like I have for years. I hope this gets fixed quickly!
it stoped working
i love this app and it helped me fall asleep but i just updated my phone to ios 13 and it won’t let me open the app. I will tap on it, then the screen will go black and then it will go back to the home screen. Please, can you fix this because i love this app?!
What?
Number 1 and number 4 sound like an airplane and 2 & 3 sound like your hands out the window of a car. Sounds nothing like a fan to me personally
Not seamless
The best fan, #4, is not a seamless loop. There's a small noise that happens every few seconds like a skip which completely ruins it. Seems like an easy fix, hopefully the developers can take care of it.
I have an idea
I'm sure everyone has a favorite fan that they like falling asleep to right? The problem with all of these apps is that we are given multiple fan sounds from "someone else's fan". I try falling asleep to them, but it's never as good as the sound of the one in my bedroom! Can you add a fan sound recording option? (Then we can just put it on loop). What would really go above and beyond would be if people could share thier fan sounds (with the make and model), and have them avail for download. Thank you for making this free, and God bless!

Awesome!
I've been hoping to find an app with fan sounds instead of the distracting pink/brown/white noises you commonly find in other apps. I have a Honeywell air purifier in my bedroom and I simply CANNOT sleep without it!! Fan #3 in NiteFan sounds identical ☺️ NiteFan's other sounds are also lovely and the app couldn't be simpler to use. Thanks so much!!

Update: All fixed now and I am back to using it every night! I love it!
I've been using Nitefan for quite some time and have loved it! However, it stopped running in the background. Huge con if you want it to play the fan sounds all night. Please fix this bug so I can use my favorite white noise app again!

THE BEST!
We are a sound machine family and this is the best thing for vacations, naps on the go, and when the power goes out. I also use it nightly because my husband snores so bad! I love that I can turn on all four fans or mix and match my fans. Amazing!
Suggestion
Just got app for Apple TV. Great! Would like it better if the screen went completely black within closing shade. Would be even better if each sound had separate volume control.

To answer the guy’s question about cellular data - the app has a small ad at the bottom and it connects to the internet to serve the ad. If you put the phone in airplane mode, you’ll notice that the sounds still work but the ad doesn’t show.
Don't trust it.
Why does this app need access to cellular data? That's a red flag!
