User reviews

Too restrictive, kills usefullness

This app is too restrictive. It limits Best Mix dive depth planning to 120 feet. For blend calculations, the max pressure is limited to 3190 psi, precluding higher pressure steel tanks which use 3442 or 3500 psi working pressures. For a few dollars more, another App called Nitrox Tools is a much better purchase for the following reasons: NitroxCalc's best Mix is limited to 120 feet. Nitrox Tools does not have this restriction. You can enter in well beyond recreational depths if you want. Nitrox Tools blending calculations are more versatile providing top up and bleed down, without the stupid 3190 psi working pressure limit. In NitroxCalc, Every time you leave the Best Mix page, it resets the depth to 60 feet. Nitrox keeps all prior inputs even when you exit the app. Nitrox Tools allows you to enter both your Max PPO2 and Contingency PPO2 and shows you both. Nitrox tools allows you to email your resultant calculations. The last dive I went on had a max depth of 130 feet and I used a HP steel cylinder with a 3500 working pressure. This app is completely useless for that simple scenario.
