About
Nitya is a quiet mālā for your daily japa.
Choose a mantra, then count each repetition on a ring of 108 beads that light up in gold as you go. When the mālā is complete, Nitya adds the round to today's total and keeps your streak.
COUNT THE WAY YOU PRACTISE • Tap anywhere on the mālā to count a bead • Press either volume key, even with the screen locked and the phone face down • Turn on auto-advance to count hands-free, at any pace from 0.5 to 30 seconds per bead • Undo a bead you counted by mistake
MANTRAS IN YOUR SCRIPT • 18 traditional mantras, including Om Namah Shivaya, Mahāmṛtyuñjaya, Gāyatrī, the Hare Krishna Mahāmantra, Om Gam Ganapataye Namah and Shri Ram Jai Ram • Read them in Devanāgarī, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Gujarati or Roman (IAST) • Add your own mantra in any language
MADE FOR PRACTICE • 27, 54, 108, 216 or 1008 beads per round • A soft bead sound and haptics for each count • Dawn and Dusk themes for morning and night • Devanāgarī numerals if you prefer them • The screen stays on while you count
KEEP GOING • Today's rounds, your streak in days and your lifetime total, always on screen • Rounds completed for each mantra
PRIVATE BY DESIGN Nitya has no account, no ads, no analytics and no internet connection. Your practice is saved on your phone and nowhere else.
