A big accuracy update for the Telugu calendar. A MORE ACCURATE PANCHANGAM Tithi, karana, varjyam, durmuhurtham, amrutha kalam and moonrise now match drikpanchang. Festival dates roll over correctly by the lunar calendar every year. VRATAS ON THE RIGHT DAY • Pradosham follows the sunset tithi, including kshaya Trayodashi • Sankatahara Chaturthi follows the moonrise tithi • Ekadashi shows both Smarta and Vaishnava days, with parana times • Amavasya, Mangala Gowri (Shravana only) and Varalakshmi Vratam corrected • Vrata reminders now name the tithi that matters (e.g. Trayodashi at sunset) ECLIPSES FOR YOUR LOCATION Sparsha, Moksham, Punyakalam and Sutak start time for solar and lunar eclipses are worked out for where you are, including the part cut short by moonrise or sunset. Eclipse reminders use your local times and skip eclipses not visible from your location. DHANURMASAM & SANKRANTI Dhanurmasam runs from the Sun's entry into Dhanu until Bhogi, with Tiruppavai, Goda Kalyanam and Vaikunta Ekadashi. Sankranti, Bhogi and Kanuma follow the solar ingress. MUHURTAM & SANKALPAM Muhurtam scores the tithi and nakshatra that hold for most of the day and leaves out days with an inauspicious tithi or nakshatra in daytime. Sankalpam recites the tithi, nakshatra, masa and samvatsara current at puja time. STOTRAMS Venkateswara, Lakshmi and Shiva Ashtottarams now have all 108 names. Hanuman Jayanti moves to Vaishakha Bahula Dashami. Still completely free — no ads, no in-app purchases.
