Garbage
Connectivity, not great. No refresh option on the app. Takes forever to start live updating if power is interrupted. It’s sad really because it has so much potential but for the amount of money that the grow hub costs it’s not performing.
Good support
Once you get the system set up it works great. Tech support helped a bit to get things squared away. They responded to emails rather quickly and are helpful. Don’t let the set up scare you away from this product it’s worth the effort
Niwa device
This is pretty cool technology and vital part of any automated gardening system. The three things I like most about the NIWA are: mobile app functionality, 24-7 Wi-Fi accessibility, and the programmability (can generate and edit recipes on the fly). My one critique: I wish it could manage more power across the outlets.
I am seeing that the next edition will have be able to support more power across the outlets. I have also read about newer monitor addition that will be capable of monitoring CO2 ppm in addition to its current functionality (VPD, temp, humidity, and dew point). Once this Niwa can handle more power. I think it could be a must have device for automated grow set-up. Would love to test and review more of your products. Good work!

Great product. Killer support. App updates
what more could you ask for? i’ll admit it was kinda tricky to set up the first time but i contacted support and they were able to take care of and get the controller up and running remotely while i was at work.
also i ended up blowing up my first one by disregarding the instructions and putting an old dehumidifier that was over amped on it, and they replaced it for free even though it was totally my own fault. if you are on the fence about this product you should just pull the trigger cause it was one of the best purchases i’ve made for my grow especially since they keep updating the app and adding features!

Best investment for serious growers
If you are a serious grower (one who controls humidity, temp, balances nutrients with controlled amounts and concentrations, etc.), this little jewel is the perfect fit. If you’re a serious grower, you’d know what VPD is. And if you do know what VPD is, then you know what a pain controlling it is with temp and humidity. I’m considering buying a second one. Figuring in the time and brain fatigue the NIWA saves me, its return on investment is very short.....Read up on it. Make an informed decision.

Love it
It can get buggy but it works for me. So far very few issues and the customer support is top notch. They’ll either call you or respond to your email fairly quickly. It’s a good platform that needs a few kinks worked out.

Impressed with how stable the grow environment can be maintained by the NIWA grow hub in a 4x4 tent.
Don’t Do it
If you’re thinking about the Niwa stay away. I thought this would be a simple setup but it was far from it. After hours of trying to figure out how to connect it to my phone after digging around trying to find out how to disable one of my WiFi networks. Now I’m sitting here trying to dial in my own recipe for my environment and there isn’t any way to enable the power to anything hooked up. 0 helpful videos online. Quality speaks for itself and its dog water.

Decent. Over paid for what it is in my opinion.
Setup is very hard. Im by no means bad with technology and it took me a full day and a half (i gave up day 1). Yes its that annoying. And the worst part ab it was the terrible if not non existent help for the problems they seem to know you'll run into seeing as the instructions the come with it even imply you'll have issues connecting. Its like people complained or something. Besides that overall its okay. You cant control it nearly as detailed as they say tho. And my tower fan wouldn't work at all in this no matter how hard i tired. You'll let me set a supposed vpd lvl (with a inaccurate sensor) vs my ac inf its off by ab 5% rh so that dehumidifier monitor has to be adjusted and it also wont let u set just a basic rh to follow for the de hu or the tent. Just the one basic list they have which arguably would work if they had a more accurate sensor(which i calibrated correct) of course no instructions w that besides bare min either so who knows right? This is a harsh review because im over all very dissatisfied i spend like 350 bucks for basically a fancy timer with a probe that is less accurate then my in line fans probe. Its decent and has potential but i didnt pay this $ for a idea i paid for the working concept.

Doesn’t Work
We haven’t been able to get a single one of these to work and their tech support is non existent. Terrible products from worse people. Do not buy.
Revolutionary product
The idea is great, and once you get it working if it has a stable connection to Wi-Fi it works very well. But the set up is extremely difficult and complicated, and there is not as much freedom with the controls as I would like. I am excited to see what they are going to do with this products hardware and software, I just hope I don’t have to buy new hardware when some of the bugs are fixed.
