User reviews

Good, but hoping for more

Overall it works as advertised. I’m hoping more features will be added such as the ability to add notes to color measurements and adding colors to folders. My biggest issue is that this app and/or the connectivity to the Nix scanner seem to drain my iPad battery very fast. I only use this app with my device plugged in and even then the device barely charges, maybe a percent every 30 minutes. It doesn’t appear to be my device, it charges normally when not using this specific app.

Response from developer

Sorry to hear of your frustration. Plugging the device into the iPad will cause it to recharge from the iPad, not communicate with it, and that can draw more power. On mobile devices only bluetooth communication is supported. The measurement devices are tuned to work for a long time between charges, so you can consider unplugging it. Alternately try plugging it into the wall or a USB hub intended just for power. The mobile software is intended for quick checks. You can also run the desktop version which has both a free version (basic) and much more capable premium features. If we are not understanding your issue correctly, please contact us at support@nixsensor.com Thank you for the feedback.
