Best photo border app

Does what I need quickly and simply, plus one of the few apps I’ve found that can do multiple photos at once. The developer was also very responsive and fixed a bug that I was experiencing

Just make an Apple Shortcuts instead

Forget the subscription bs and free save limit. I just had ChatGPT generate a white 1536x1536.png and made a shortcut to batch select photos, repeat for each image, resize the longest edge to 1384, get the white square png, overlay the resized image over the png, save the overlaid image to an album, end repeat. You can customize the border size and use reference photos in ChatGPT for your preferred values. Took my 10 seconds to batch edit 21 photos with borders.

Needed an app to resize photos and add fill in bars. This app does it, very easy to use

Great, simple interface and responsive support

I downloaded this app to add a white border to some film selections for an Instagram post. The app is easy to use, and the premium features work great. I appreciate that there’s a subscription, as well as a one-time purchase option for the premium version. I sent a support request via email and heard back within minutes. Great app!

Great Concept, Too Pricey

Incredibly fast to resize for IG, adding a border instead of cropping. I liked that it would automatically apply the previous border color I used to my next pic. Unfortunately you only get 5 free saves before you are pay blocked. I use Instagram for fun, so I’m not interested in a subscription just to resize for posting. I’d pay if it was a small, one time fee, but with subscriptions, it was an immediate uninstall.

The best image border app

This app is fantastic. It’s simple, intuitive, easy and fast and it doesn’t resize images or degrade them like many other image border apps. The final image simply has an added border. The image is not resized or compressed. The designer is also really kind and listens to feedback. I asked for a feature and he added it in about a week. If you’re looking for an app to add a border to images for social media posts, etc., without sacrificing image quality look no further.

Fantastic app!

Just what I was looking for. For 4x6 prints, I needed an app that properly displays my iPhone photographs within a 4x6 template. This app to the rescue! Reasonably priced, too. And I like how the images that it saves are still very high-resolution. UPDATE (September 2025) — I contacted the developer of the app and requested a new template for 5x7 and 7x5. I was so pleasantly surprised when the app was updated within a week or two with this new capability. Tremendous customer support!

Very very very basic

When uploading a A4 size image the background appears with only colours. Surely you can add more backgrounds or even a blur, textures, different background but just colours on their own isn't giving the user much of a selection. It would even be good to upload my own background. 😞
