Teen repeller!

I honestly don’t know how well this works for mosquitoes. But if you have annoying teenagers this is a fun app. I can’t hear it, but they can and they sort of start scratching their heads and looking annoyed.

FAQ

How does this app repel mosquitoes?

The app plays a high-frequency sound that simulates the sexual recall of male mosquitoes. This sound is designed to deter fertilized female mosquitoes, which are the ones that bite. While some people may hear a slight hiss, the sound is generally inaudible to most adults.

Can I use this app while using other iPhone apps?

Yes, the app features 'Audio Background' functionality, meaning the ultrasound will continue to play even when you close the application. This allows you to maintain mosquito repellent effectiveness while using your iPhone for other tasks.

Is this app free to use?

Yes, the app is free to use, supported by advertisements. This allows users to benefit from a natural, non-toxic mosquito repellent solution without any upfront cost.

What is the 'Social Reports' feature?

The 'Social Reports' feature allows users to report the presence of mosquitoes in their current location. You can also view feedback from other users on a map, with a special red light indicating reported mosquito activity in your area. This community-driven information helps users avoid potential mosquito hotspots.

How effective is this app as a mosquito repellent?

The application is based on principles used by several electronic devices sold globally. While there are differing opinions on the effectiveness of ultrasound as a repellent, there is no definitive proof against it. The app aims to provide a natural deterrent, and users are advised to turn up the volume for maximum effect.
