Tide alerts: tap the bell on any tide station to get a notification before each high and low tide. Pick the lead time and quiet hours under Settings > Tide Alerts. A new chart-style look: a compass dial for wind, a barometer for pressure, brass-ruled readings, and tide curves drawn over depth bands.

Thank you for using the app every day, and I'm sorry the ads were an unwelcome surprise. You did pay for this app, and I owe you a straight explanation. The one-time price from years ago stopped covering the work needed to keep the app running: NOAA feeds change, iOS changes, and this year we rebuilt the tide engine so predictions work with no cell signal and match NOAA's tables. To keep the app alive and free for new users, it became ad-supported. Ads are limited to the home and list screens and never cover the buoy or tide data itself. If you'd like to talk it through, reach me through the app's support link. I read every message.

This is not related to the app. From NOAA: On 03/09/2021 the NDBC primary processing servers were shut off due to a facilities issue. Station pages on the NDBC website are not updating and there is no ETR at this time. We apologize for this but we are at the mercy of NOAA and their restoration of these services.

Update 9/18/2020: old problems fixed, good to go

I walk my dogs next to the SF Bay, and this app will tell me the temperature and velocity of the wind off the water. My regular weather app (Weather On) is right on the money for ambient temp and wind speed, but the buoy data tells me the wind temp and speed off the water, and whether or not I'll need a jacket. Maybe a "one trick pony", but it's really good at it, and I use it every day for that. The tide data is there also, but is easier to read in Tide Graph Pro. I'd buy both, if you're by the water. Tip: Pick a few “favorite” buoys near you, and those are the only ones that will come up when you tap favorites (so you don’t have to sort through all the weather on the coast, but you can if you wish). The app responds quickly, so the delay from home; screen to favorite buoy air temp and wind speed takes about 3 or 4 seconds max. Simple, and well written. Good Job.

The data is older than some other apps that I am looking at. Used to be more timely. Now the email address doesn’t work either.
