This is a critical service to all who travel on the lakes, especially recreational boaters!
Excellent Source of Sea Conditions - wave heights/winds/sea temp.
We use this app. often when we’re planning an offshore trip or even head to the beach. It gives us a decent snapshot of the sea temp. as well as sea state and winds. All vital information to plan a run.

Terrible app due to data from many buoys not available most of the time. Additionally the ships displayed in many areas rarely contribute any data.
GPS
Want numbers for gps to find buoys! Where is the gps numbers?

You can get the GPS coordinates for any buoy by going to the full "Buoy Report", and then scrolling all the way to the bottom where you should see the buoy's Latitude & Longitude. Please feel free to contact us directly via the app Settings->Feedback if you have any other questions.

Well, first, I NEVER thought that I would be reviewing a bouy! (There. That’s outa da way).
Second and foremost, I gave 4-stars only bcz when it’s extremely cold or windy, the “numbers” get skewed. But udderwise, like today, that big ol’ Weeble-Wobble* sits out there selflessly giving up its data, 24/7, to anyone that wants it. It’s kinda sad…

gives me critical information about what the ocean is doing. This helps make me a better boater knowing what to expect

Love this app. great for fishing and any other boating weather awareness requirements. I used to use these to predict where hurricanes would track. I’m no meteorologist, but it’s a fun challenge.
Long ago when I was in aviation, I used them to see what the water temperature was. It helped us predict inevitable fog on Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and Block Island.

Just what I was looking for!
I’ll be going on a cruise and this has been so useful in helping me anticipate weather conditions such as air temperature and wave action. Upgraded to Professional, which is VERY inexpensive. Great.

Need this App with wave height and wind historic data to determine if it’s Safe to go out on the big lakes. Fish On Tone.

It’s super handy to have all of the buoy info right there at my fingertips, and upgrading to premium was worth it just for having an extensive favorites list alone. Sailing down the San Joaquin to San Francisco, I’m checking on all of those conditions.

Useful and easy
Very easy app to use. Awesome that you can favorite for east future look up. I wish you could apply filters so if, for example, you wanted to know the wind you could filter off all those that don’t record wind. Or turn off ships. Other the having to find what you’re looking for the app is extremely straight forward and useful.

Thanks for the feedback! An "Interactive Map Legend" has been included in the latest release that allows you to filter out buoys/ships based on various criteria.
