About
A chart that plays itself. Chords that fade as you learn them.
Type a song in once. Press play and the chart moves line by line at your tempo, counted in, so your hands stay on the instrument. Every playthrough hides a few more chords, until you can follow the lyrics alone.
IT PLAYS ITSELF
Set the tempo, get counted in, and the chart moves with the song. The line being sung is marked, the beat is on screen, and the lines you have passed step back. Tap a line to jump to it. The screen stays on while it plays.
IT HIDES THE CHORDS
Each playthrough is a level. Level one shows the verse and chorus whole and only thins their repeats. Level two hides half of every section. Level three hides most of it, opening chords included. Set a level yourself, or let it climb on its own. Lost a chord? Tap the line and it comes back for a few seconds, without costing you progress.
IT READS IN DEGREES
One tap turns the chart into roman numerals: Am C D F becomes i III IV VI. Degrees describe the song rather than the key, so they stay put when you transpose.
WRITE IT THE WAY YOU WOULD SCRIBBLE IT
One line per lyric line, with chords in brackets where they fall in the words:
There [Am]is a [C]house in New [D]Orleans, [F]
A line lasts as many bars as you say. Intros, turnarounds and meter changes are one short mark each. Transpose with a tap; the chords follow.
COUNTED IN, EVERY TIME
The metronome counts you in by a line's worth of bars, in 4/4, 3/4, 6/8 or whatever the song is in. Choose a shaker that sits under a slow song, a woodblock that cuts through, or a plain beep. The beat is on screen whether or not the sound is on.
WHENEVER YOU PLAY
Your songs live on your device and the app works with no connection at all. Sign in with Apple or Google, and they follow you between devices.
