NoirGrade applies color grading to photos and video on your device. It reads the source color profile from the file, decodes it to a linear working space, applies a look and your adjustments, and writes the result with correct color tags. Log footage from some cameras is written with no color tag at all, or tagged as standard video, so the profile can also be set by hand from the source badge above the preview. LOOK LIBRARY 78 looks in nine families: Cinematic, Aerial, Amber, Mono, Tritone, Urban, Retro, Nature and Noir. Each card in the library renders the look on your own frame, ungraded on one side and graded on the other. Press and hold a card to move the divider between them. ADJUSTMENTS Ten controls: intensity, exposure, contrast, saturation, warmth, tint, highlights, shadows, glow and grain. Tone curves for master, red, green and blue, drawn on one canvas so the channels can be read against each other. Three-way color wheels for shadows, midtones and highlights, with a separate level control for each range. Auto exposure and white balance. Exposure targets middle grey and backs off when the highlights would clip; white balance is measured from the least saturated part of the frame. Copy and paste a grade between clips. Undo covers look changes, presets, pastes and Auto. MEASUREMENT Waveform, RGB parade, histogram and vectorscope. Each can be read at a chosen stage: the source before any grade, after tone mapping, after the look, or on the final frame. The clipping map marks three separate cases: what the grade clipped, what the camera had already clipped, and what the grade crushed to black. False color in six bands, for judging exposure by eye. FRAMING Source, 2.35:1 scope, square, 4:5 portrait, 3:4 grid-safe and 9:16 vertical. Crops are real crops taken at source resolution, not letterbox bars, and the crop position can be moved by dragging the preview. EXPORT Photos at full resolution. Video up to 4K in 8-bit H.264 or 10-bit HEVC. Audio passes through without re-encoding, rotation is carried as metadata, and standard video color tags are written to the file. Lookup tables export as .cube in two modes: Look, for an edit that has already converted its footage, and Full chain, which drops straight onto ungraded log footage. SUBSCRIPTION Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel in Settings. PRIVACY Photos and videos are not uploaded. The app does not read your photo library; it receives only the items you select in the system picker, and asks for photo permission only to save finished exports back.
