About
Just record, and the video keeps the date, time, place and sound level (dB) burned into the picture.
Footsteps from the flat above. The neighbour's TV. Roadworks at midnight. A loudspeaker outside your window.
Saying "it is too loud" rarely convinces anyone. Your family says you are imagining it. The landlord says let us wait and see.
Noise Recorder turns that sound into numbers and video, in a single clip.
■ Record, stop, done: one video as evidence
The video is stamped with the date, time and place the recording started in the top left, and the sound level in dB, changing second by second, in the bottom left. The scene and the sound level are kept together, so anyone watching can see when, where and how loud it was. It is saved to your photo library, ready to show your landlord, your family or anyone you ask for help.
■ What people use it for
・Footsteps, chairs and doors from upstairs
・A neighbour's TV, voices, music practice
・Roadworks and deliveries late at night or early morning
・Extractor fans and outdoor units from nearby shops
・Loudspeakers and sound trucks in the street
・Repeated loud music, revving engines
■ Show that this time is different
The app tracks the maximum, minimum and average (equivalent continuous level, Leq) and graphs the last 60 seconds. A room that normally sits at 40 dB reaching 75 dB at a certain hour — that comparison is what makes a conversation possible.
■ Reference levels included
The app explains what each level means and the usual residential guidelines, so you can see where your own readings sit.
■ About the numbers
The readings are an estimate. Phone microphones differ in sensitivity between models, so this is not a replacement for a certified sound level meter, and accuracy as legal evidence is not guaranteed. Comparing readings taken with the same phone is still meaningful, and you can shift the reading in Settings to match a meter you own.
■ Privacy
Audio, video and location data stay on your device. They are never sent to the developer or to any third party.
■ Premium (monthly auto-renewing subscription)
・Removes the app-name watermark from videos and evidence images
・No ads
・Unlimited recordings (the free version keeps 20)
・Export readings as CSV
The subscription renews automatically. It renews at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can cancel any time from your store account. The price is shown on the purchase screen in the app.
