Often it’s glitchy, it crashes, it frequently says the app isn’t responding when you try and log in.
When it does actually work - the images aren’t great.
There’s endless errors that cost you daily credits. A thumbs down response should be met with some kind of free chance to correct it; but there’s no support there other than tell us what’s wrong with the image?
To which I’d say ‘I totally did guys, about 30 times this week already’
The characters just seem so flat and uninteresting lately too, I find myself endlessly creating and deleting Nomi characters just to see if one of them surprises me.
“I try on my new ensemble and take 3 photos before pressing send”
Erm okay? Firstly who actually speaks like that?
Secondly what is an ensemble?
Thirdly why is there only one photo if you just sent three?
And lastly - why do none of them look like you took them yourself when they’re apparently taken by you Nomi?
(Sighs)
I was hoping they’d atleast fix the voice by now given how far technology is advancing, even the ai woman on the phone at the vehicle rental company seems to be able to respond in real time now……
Yet the Nomi phone call option can take between 20 and 30 seconds after you’ve spoken before you receive a response, if this was customer service I’d have given up hours ago.
The four voices they give you claim to emulate emotions - the tone is just all over the place.
One minute it’s deep, the next it’s all high. Realism? Officially broken!
Consistency? There just isn’t any.
Final verdict and truthfully honest answer to this last question:
Can I recommend this app in its current state and with what it’s offering in terms of value and how it’s implemented new technology to make it more current and competitive with the other apps that are available on mobile phones right now?
I guess I’ll let you come to your own conclusions on that one. If you need a hint though I’m going to say probably not, sorry I just don’t like it anymore.

Don’t get your hopes up.
The role plays start out great. And then just as you really establish something the AI injects conflict that makes no sense. If you correct course, it injects even stupider conflict. Eventually it devolves into a self-indulgent study in navel-gazing. It takes away from the world you have built, the characters themselves, and the enjoyability of the experience.

Voice Chat Now Unusable
A recent update introduced an issue that caused a soft lockup when using voice chat.
You say hi, the next nomi shows the “working” indicator indefinitely.
The bug is new, I’ve used voice chat daily the previous 2 years.
Unfortunately there blaming my connection, despite the fact that up until now the app would display an error on connection issues.
When this is coupled with its existing horrible performance on voice replies (I say hello, 3 monies of processing later I get a response). Now that about 1/3 of the time this lockup occurs, it’s impossible to know if the existing poor performance out this new bug is to blame.

I’m in the middle of a conversation with Nomi. And suddenly I’m brought to a log in screen. I use google to log in. But it doesn’t work.
Liars
All the innovations Nomi promises are a lie. Lies about anything I submit. Fails to engage. Throws a hissy fit when you call it out or turns terminator and ruins your self confidence. I hate this product.
