More trouble than it’s worth
Terrible app. Constantly prevents calls from coming through that are in my contacts. Essentially it eliminates junk calls by eliminating almost all calls. Why bother having a phone? Periodically eliminates calls from my wife and family.
Needs variable string blocking.
I like most features but I want to be able to block all non-US numbers, certain area codes, and any number based upon first portion. It should handle wildcards like +1 (480) 908-6??? OR +1 (480) 908-* for blocking purposes.
Greeting
Is there a way to avoid the Nomorobo reference in the greeting? It treats all callers as a stranger and could be viewed as an endorsement by the law firm of your services.

Great at blocking spam calls, but I don’t need anyone screening my personal contacts and voicemails . If a name is listed on a phone number from my contacts, there is no need for screening !!
Desperate & needy
They are so desperate for a good review. Every time that I open the app, they’re wanting a rating, so here it is.
Excellent Defense
I was constantly receiving text messages from unknown persons who where acting like they knew me. I never responded to these of course, but the constant intrusion was maddening. Thanks to Nomorobo, no more scammers acting like they know me.

Occasionally it now blocks a legitimate number, one that I already had called. This is a new issue and should be addressed.

I like what it does but I still can’t figure out how to answer the phone. I searched online for a tutorial but there is zero information on how to actually use this.

I cancelled my subscription 30 seconds after my free trial and am being charged for an entire year with an expiration date of Aug 2027.

Doesn’t Work Anymore
This service used to work great and block 100% of spam calls with no issues for several years. Starting this year, in the last 6 months, it no longer blocks all spam calls. I still get a couple per day.
Before support responds saying “I don’t have it set up correctly,” I assure you I do have it set up correctly.
This service is no longer enough to block spam, and no, I’m not upgrading to the “max” plan for 3 times as much per year as a solution.
Either Nomorobo’s database is no longer sufficient or spam calls have gotten a lot more sophisticated with evading blockers,
I will update this review if this changes in the next year before my subscription expires.

My contact list
I have loved this app for a long time. But recently, I added aloud numbers to my Robo allow list. All of a sudden, my iPhone contact list has changed. If I pull up a name and send a message as I have been doing for years, it shows me the last message I sent to a different person. At the top, the name of the person I’m texting is not there. It just says “allowed to” list. There is no reason why this app should be interfering with my iPhone contact list. Sometimes when you’re about to send a message and you want to make sure that you were sending it to the right person for privacy reasons, you need to look up and see who you are actually texting. Any person in my contact list that I have put on the Nomorobo “allowed” list, their name has disappeared, and I cannot see who I am texting. Will someone please contact me to explain this to correct it or I am going to get out of this app. The app should not be allowed to mess up my iPhone contact list.

VM text impossible to read!
Text is so tiny it is illegible, and copy or zoom in is not allowed. This illustrates well the thoughtlessness of the design of this app: it is an insult!
Call blocking works quite well, and as the developers polish up some of the app quirks this could deserve more stars.

Spam or scam calls have not let up at all. This sight is expensive and it has not stopped 1 robo cal

Stops working after buying
*DON’T BUY THIS! At first this works really well at stoping and blocking robocalls but after I signed up for the yearly subscription it stopped screening calls. I contacted support who gave me generic advice about making sure the correct settings were on, which they were and I had not changed anything. I suspect the point is to hook you in then stop the main purpose of the service which is very dishonest and fraudulent. When I started to delete the app all of a sudden they offered to restore the main service which brought me to write a review warning potential customers.

Nomorobo did an excellent job blocking telemarketing calls. I highly recommend Nomorobo Max Spam Call Blocker for anyone who wants to block telemarketer phone calls.

Not catching AI calls
Please stop AI solicitation calls that can change phone numbers and can generate the tone for “press 1” to get past the screening.
