About
Some text is useful, but you do not want to turn it into another file. NoPad gives it a buffer: a place to paste, read, and come back to later. Buffers are kept automatically in the app's storage between sessions, with no Save step or file name to manage.
ON IPAD, MAKE IT YOURS
Create and edit scratch buffers, paste from other apps, or import a file as a buffer without changing the original. Rename buffers when a name helps. Format JSON, CSV, TSV, YAML, and SQL; undo or redo an edit. View source beside a read-only preview in a wide layout. Markdown renders as readable text, and CSV or TSV can be inspected as a table with your choice of delimiter and header row.
ON IPHONE, TAKE IT WITH YOU
Find buffers by name, read source or preview, copy text, and share a buffer as a file when you choose. The iPhone app is a reader; editing is available on Mac and iPad. Downloaded buffers remain readable offline.
OPTIONAL ICLOUD SYNC
Enable sync on each device signed into the same Apple Account to bring eligible buffers between Mac, iPad, and iPhone. Sync is off by default and uses your private iCloud storage. You can keep working offline; changes are sent when you reconnect. If edits conflict, NoPad keeps separate copies. Mapped files and buffers over 14 MB remain on their original device.
YOUR TEXT, YOUR CHOICE
NoPad has no account of its own, analytics, advertising, tracking, AI service, or subscription. Text processing takes place on your device. The app keeps buffers automatically; a file is created outside the app only when you choose to share or export one. iPad editing and previews support buffers up to 4 MB; larger eligible buffers remain available to read and share.
Requires iOS or iPadOS 26 or later.
