Great banking app
I’ve had the app for years now and as of my original review, the app has been great and I haven’t had any issues with it and have been able to check my balance at any time without issue.
Balance Widget has never worked
Throughout every update and iteration of this app, I have yet to get the balance widget to work. It would be awesome if it did, but it doesn’t and continues to not work. Each update I try and nope, disappointed.

Security questions
Recently experiencing to many occasions I need to answer security questions in a day before I can access my account.
Used to be convenient
It used to be convent to check you balance and transfer money when needed. Now requires you to confirm that you want to enroll in Face ID and answer 2 security questions just to access the app. Makes me want to leave the bank and go find one that actually cares about convenience and their customers
Used to love this app
I’ve never really had a problem with the app especially since they updated and have included things like Face ID. Lately they’ve been doing “ System maintenance “ at random times with absolutely no warning which they have never done before. It’s pretty aggravating when you are trying to check your account balance and can’t because of more maintenance. This is the 2nd time it’s happened in roughly a one week period. I tried again hours later and still am not able to log onto the app.

Love it
Love the app I do all my banking through North Shore Bank. I love that the app is very easy to use with no complications.

Out of around 200 log-in attempts, it has worked twice.

Crashes all the time. Forces you to type password every time. Former Beverly Bank customer and this merger has been a pain. Considering switching bank unless this improves.

App isnt that great. It will often instant crash when I try to open it multiple times, so I have to delete it and redownload it. Its so anti-intuitive, and is a better fit for old people because its such a simple app. It kinda gets the job done, but i shouldnt expect too much from a banking app.

I am not happy I can not view deposit checks. Before the merger with Beverly Bank, I could look at all the checks I deposited.

Not user friendly
The app is so outdated. Every time I log in on my phone it asks me questions which doesn’t make sense since I am using Face ID on my phone from the same IP address everytime. Also there is no where once logged in to reset your questions or disclose your full account number. The look and feel of it is outdated.

Terrible app and merger
Horrible app, and merger , it’s basically just the web browser version and whenever you hit log out it makes u close a page then hit logout again , also I was originally a Beverly bank user and ever since north shore took them over, my acc now says I can’t transfer my money, luckily this is the bank acc I don’t use often...(my other being Bank of America who never has this many issues) but during a stressful time in the world it would be nice if a merger didn’t completely screw up ones online banking . Also not the nicest on the phone when calling for help. Once this world situation is over I will be changing banks permanently.

Poor performance, no Face ID
This is the only banking app on my phone that doesn’t support Face ID. You need to type in your password every time you want to sign in. I might switch banks because of this. This isn’t new technology. Whoever does the app for them needs to watch some tutorials for how to implement Face ID, seriously. I’m looking into switching banks because they also don’t support Apple Pay, also not a new technology! North shore bank is well SOUTH of my expectations.
