Changed the VPN Option

I’ve had this subscription for a few years and it used to include VPN. When I noticed it wasn’t there and reached out, I was only met with someone trying to upsell me without resolving why I had it and no longer do.

False Information

Switched from Verizon to T-Mobile a month ago because of spam calls all day every day. My phone has been quiet since then. I wanted Norton for the scam protection and VPN on my phone.
I have had it on Desktop since they first introduced Norton. Works great so I decided to use it on my iPhone.
BIG MISTAKE. I am angry and disgusted. I downloaded app October 17th and I have had "scam likely” phone calls since October 19th. Offers for health insurance, life insurance, cruise ship offers etc. I deleted app and you should be ashamed. I read other reviews and most say the same thing except you didn’t get my $50, thank God.

Not thought through

What is the point of having an app that requires a code sent to your email address? Which then takes ages to receive?

People want to set the app up immediately. The developers should’ve thought this through and come up with an alternative way.

Worst antivirus

I’ve had Norton for over two years and I can tell that it’s a useless antivirus. Instead of protecting your data , they will sell it to third parties. I paid extra for extra protection to remove my data from the dark web and instead I’m receiving thousands of emails every day. This is the WORST one I’ve ever had. You are paying money to sell your information

Hacked

I got hacked after buy this antivirus

Annoying Wi-Fi scans

Version 26.18.9 for iOS comes with annoying Wi-Fi scans that are frequent and cannot be stopped. Norton 360 takes over your phone and blocks any communication until the scan is done. There is no manual override. Impossible to designate a network as safe or override this function other than uninstalling it. It is scanning my home network for a second time in less than an hour. FIX IT ASAP!

Selected “free 2 week trial” was charged immediately and MORE than 49.99

I have been looking for a good protection app and Norton had very good reviews that I am rather doubtful of since my interaction last night. I clicked on the 2 week trial, after that 49.99 a year. I double clicked to complete download and my Amex texted me a charge from Norton for 57.98!! I didn’t consent to 49.99 until after the 2 week trial. It’s unethical to charge even more!! So far I haven’t noticed what this app is doing for me, it’s giving me advice on over 20 websites that I need to physically go to and figure out what password I ever used and then change it….this will take me so long to do. I feel duped already and there is zero live help, no one to contact.

Calls

Ever since I got North 360 now I’m starting to get all these spam calls people from lending institutions and I’m not clicking on nothing. I’m hoping North is secure because I’ve never got these before.

Message stating subscription renewal

Why would Norton send me a message concerning subscription renewal when I’m subscribed

VPN Location

I wish that I could lock the VPN location to a specific US city. My email provider uses the ip address to make sure it’s not an intruder and if the VPN is not nearby it blocks access. While I can set the location to a city that works, when Norton 360 refreshes it selects the fastest which is usually somewhere else. Please consider allowing end user preferences for locale. Thanks.

Not that good anymore, worrying signs.

Downloaded this to my iPhone and iPad as I have a long standing continuous Norton 360 subscription on my PC. But this “supposed” anti virus scanner for the phone is a bit misleading. iOS will not allow Norton to scan your phone for a virus. Norton can only scan the traffic to and from your phone, like received texts or emails, or surfing the web, etc. It can’t do a deep scan like on a computer. So if you already had a virus, it would not see it. So it is a bit misleading to say it’s a virus scanner. (Sept 2026 They have now renamed it to Scam Protection, Lol)
To add to all this nonsense, you look and see that all is good on your phone, as you have a green box saying “you are protected” showing in the app. So why, when I check the VPN page, the VPN is disconnected??? It keeps disconnecting the VPN randomly. How is that protected??? I have it set to have VPN “on” all the time.
There’s two VPN’s showing, both by Norton, a personal one and a device VPN, but you can’t have both on at the same time, like we used to. If you do, it blocks all internet traffic. What changed?
Also, you keep getting signed out of your account far too often, so just when you need to use 360, it shows you are logged out once again! This happens across all devices and PC. I have never signed out, as I think it is crucial to keep 360 logged in, so why is this happening?
Then there is the constant bombardment of adverts saying you need to upgrade to this or that with Norton, for full protection, trying to scare people into buying extras they don’t need.
Then there is the constant verifying of my devices as trusted, you would think that when you have done this once, that’s it!
Nope! The last time I looked, I had over 100 trusted devices logged, all from my 3 devices being repeatedly verified! That’s how many times I’ve gone round in circles with this verification nonsense. I’ve now removed all those devices. I don’t bother with verification anymore! Now it shows 0 trusted devices logged.

These issues are rather worrying considering that Norton 360 is supposed to be protecting you and your devices, but if they can’t get their own security apps right, it makes me wonder how safe we really are?
It never used to be like this!

And to whoever replies to this, please don’t bother, I have read all the reviews and none of your “standard” replies will cut it! Im not an idiot, so don’t treat me like one! (This is in reference to my previous review)

Garbage and scam

The same day of installation they should have sold my personal data, which resulted in a million of spam phone calls.
This never happened anytime before or after.

Garbage

Before you waste your money, read the most recent reviews. Look at all the 1 stars. Well-deserved. This app sucks.

Google or use AI to search: does Norton 360 pass the VPN leak test?

Then you'll realize why you shouldn't buy this app

NordVPN more reliable

And the app turns itself off. Without notice

Doesn’t work with any Starbucks either. What good with that do you?

What else is wrong with this app we don't know about?

Don't waste your money or risk your security before you google this horrible app to learn how bad it is

Corrupt

Seems to allow suspicious activity and password hacks. After deleting app had to delete several programs and reset things to protect data.

Much claim , Little to show

I used Norton Utilities many years ago & it was a great product. Now it just waste CPU , lots of bells & whistles.. just a total mess. The Driver update App also installed various updates without backing up options being on … It messed up my whole system. Beware as after so called optimizations, another product found tons of errors.. All the 5 stars rating assume it is working great until it won’t.. !!

Notifications to renew when I have renewed

You keep sending me notifications in the app to renew my subscription which I have renewed. If I try to login to Nortons it tells me I don’t have an account. But the app is running on my iPad and tells me I’m protected.
Rectify this or I’m cancelling via the App Store & getting a refund. Sick of this
