This is the only comptehensive news coverage avout Norway in English out there! MAny thanks to the developers!
A Fine Choice of Information and News
This app is excellent at what it sets out to do — pick out news articles from all around the world that deal with Norway and what is happening in that country. There are no bells or whistles and the graphics are just ho-hum but it is hard to imagine anyone who has an interest in Norway not appreciating this exceptional capable source for current events. I use it every day and am pleased when I do so.
There is, however, one glaring problem with this app — its search engine is set far too generously. To be sure, it picks up excellent articles about the country of Norway but it also indiscriminately picks up articles about Norway, MINNESOTA and the comings and goings of those local folks. They are probably fine people but far too often an article that sounds interesting about the country turns out, once one clicks on it, to be about the small community in America’s midwest instead. There are no doubt readers who enjoy both; I do not.
This is clearly an app that deserves a 5 but I have reduced it to a 4 because of its seeming inability to differentiate between the several “Norways” that are out there in today’s world. If it could figure how to select only “real” Norwegian material, it would be an easy 5 stars.
