Quite slow to search and results don’t include important information such as gender

No English to Norwegian search?
I get that this is a Norwegian dictionary, not a Norwegian-English dictionary in both directions, however it DOES give meanings in English for most words. Surely then it would be so easy for the app team to allow us to search for those English meanings in a search? Why aren’t those English words included in the searchable text? This app would be a thousand times better if I could search for an English word and then be taken to the possible Norwegian options.

Very Good!
I like the sample sentences and the pronunciation of the words. My Grandfather was Norwegian, so I am attempting to learn this language and your App is helping greatly!

It gets the job done.
Really useful free resource
I am learning Norwegian with Duolingo which is very poor in explaining grammar, genders and word forms. I find this a good resource even though my Norwegian isn’t good enough for all the Norwegian explanations. But the word form tables are really useful - when available. Unfortunately, for some crucial words (certain modal auxiliaries) they are missing. Hence one star less than perfect.

Great dictionary
What I love most is the pronunciation guide with IPA, native speakers, and sample sentences. You can still look up English words by changing the word search settings but this is primarily a Norwegian-English dictionary only. It has proven very helpful in learning the language.
Needs translator
I would love it if it the app would be able to translate words from English into Norwegian and give you the definition for it and all that... a lot easier to learn that way... other than that however, this app is really great and has a monstrosity of a vocabulary
Awful - don't bother
Downloaded on the strength of one review-the only review- which said it was great. Must have been a fake reviewer. It's hopeless. This app would not even translate 'very' basic word "very" ! Yet Yandex translate did it in seconds and was correct with associations with the noun opposing. Now I'm going to remove it, just glad I didn't pay any money.

This is the best free Norwegian—English app I have found yet! Detailed definitions, links to related words. Very nice.
