Review of the app: not the game
First off, the app works fine. It’s sort of cumbersome that I have to pass a phone around. I’d much prefer everyone download their own version of the app and answer questions by themselves. Maybe passing the phone could be optional. It was uncomfortable playing with people who I didn’t necessarily want to have control of my phone while it’s unlocked and open.
The game isn’t all that complicated. Whoever gets the most stars is the winner, whether the stars are high or low. Your social points (which is the only thing that matters for this app) just determine whether you get a leg up or down in the game. You could technically play this game without the app. Hope this helps anyone confused.

Solid app but slow play with single device
Fun game with 5 players, but play would be even better and more immersive if each player could play on their own device via cloud based game server. As is there is a lot of downtime as single device goes around table to distribute the Experiences.

WHAT A GAME
Probably the single greatest fever dream I’ve come across in all my days. Between scoring stars and feeling like a real life Instagram celebrity I would highly recommend you spend between 30 min and 7 days playing this game. It challenges the mind and the body. I’m physically exhausted and emotionally fulfilled. Thank you creators. I can pass the torch to my children and this game will forever be a family heirloom.

The game had potential, but it’s very obviously a IP cash grab. Nobody actually involved with Black Mirror would approve of this. It’s so lame and basic, and still overly complicated and pointless. Absolute waste of money. RETURNING.

Confused 😩
I brought this game today and I never been so confused in my life. The app does no justice for the game. I feel like the board is useless because the app gives you the rating. Maybe I’m not comprehending it but it’s confusing.

The instructions aren’t very clear, but it’s a fun game and interesting to play once you understand how to win and strategize. I recommend playing with at least 4 people.

Figuring the game out was the best part of the game after that you might as well play go fish after.

Really confused as to what was so complicated about instructions after reading reviews. Idk how other people play board games but I tend to do a test round going step by step with the instructions and checking back on what to do after I make my move. The game is simpler than I thought it would be and my family and I had a lot of fun! I only wish there was a little more to the app, like a little more interactive. I thought everyone had to download the app and it kinda syncs a game so I was a little let down by just passing around a phone, but still a very enjoyable game. Have some patience and I promise it ain’t that hard lol

Fun Game!
I don’t understand everyone’s comments on it being ‘too complicated.’ It’s not an easy game but all it takes is step by step playing to understand fully. It took me and my family only 10 minutes to figure out the game and we had fun in the end! The only thing I could wish for is some more interacting with the mobile part of the game. All in all this game is pretty great! Good job :)

This game is so tedious and boring. Half of the rules don’t make any sense. You have to share 1 phone among all players of the game while everyone else has to wait around for their turn. Don’t waste your money.
Could Be Good But Is Far Too Overcomplicated
My family and I were really excited to play this as fans of the black mirror series. Immediately, we found it hard to understand the instructions & became pretty frustrated with how complicated the game seemed to be. The “lifestyle phase” was confusing. Even once we’d figured it out mostly, it’s quite boring. The “experience” phase was our favorite part! You get to show how well you know your friends by pitching them experiences you think they’ll like from a limited selection. They then anonymously judge the best and worst. We laughed and had a lot of fun during these phases. Unfortunately, the confusion toward how to actually play to win sort of ruined the fun.
I think this idea has so much potential! The hybrid between app and board game kind of seems unnecessary, but it’s not the worst part of the game. I just think it needs to be re-evaluated a bit.

The worst game I ever tried to play.
This game was more difficult that watching your infant try to read a college level textbook.
Not worth the headache
After watching the episode of Black Mirror that this game is based on, I was really excited to play this game. Unfortunately that excitement was immediately quelled upon reading the instructions. I spent 20 minutes reading the instruction booklet and STILL couldn’t understand how this game is supposed to be played. Not only that, but it appears to me that the game could be played with just the app, rendering the game board and all of its parts completely useless. The instructions were very wordy and terribly confusing, the game made no sense, and frustrated me very quickly. I will definitely be getting a refund. It’s not worth the $20 I spent at all.

THIS GAME IS A JOKE
I spent $20 on this at the target self checkout and I was so excited to play it because I love this episode of Black Mirror. I opened the game and read the instructions and WAS IMMEDIATELY STRESSED AT THE LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY THIS GAME TOOK TO UNDERSTAND. IS IT WORTH IT? No. Period.

expected more from black mirror. the shows are great because they're complicated but the game shouldn't. be. this. complicated. maybe because i only have an IQ of 4 but we couldn't understand the directions because they seemed out of order???? if i could get the 45 minutes i wasted on this game back that would be so helpful.

Overly complicated
This game is over complicated. The app should walk you through the game as you go, but instead you’re left to decipher the complicated instructions. The concept of the game is good, but we were so confused trying to figure out how to play it. For a game focused on social media and technology, it depends too much on a poorly made game board and written instructions. Would not recommend.

Save yourself the time and money!
Friend wanted this for her birthday so we bought it and got a group together to play, not knowing what to expect. Setting up and understanding the rules took us collectively over half an hour and by the time we made it through the first round we decided to pack it up and go back for a refund. SO. BORING. Great concept, horrible execution.

Bro, this game is explained way too complicated. It’s a simple game, but the instructions make it harder to play than it needs to be. Myself and and the other players had to watch a video explaining how to play, and even then, it was still complicated. We had high expectations for it, but were left dumbfounded.
