I enjoy reading the daily quotes from this app, but the widget no longer works in iOS 18. Please update!

2 yrs ago I wrote “I love the ability to add custom quotes and having the ability to remove quotes included with the app would be ideal.” (The rest of of prior review is below.) This has not been changed or addressed by the devs so I need to find an app with more functionality.
“I use this app for writing speeches and creating training but I must be able to quote from sources that I trust. Some quotes sound good out of context but are unusable when placed in context or when the background of the source is known. I have to spend time researching sources and would rather remove quotes that don’t serve my purposes.”

Beautiful Design
Love the aesthetics & design of this app. I enjoy the option of having a background. The flexibility to search quotes by author, subject, etc. as well as being able to add your own quotes and save your favorites are also nicely designed! Great features for the price.

Missing Goodreads
Good quotes, but a very minimal selection. This app could be way better if it used an API to connect to the Goodreads site where so many more quotes exist. I was looking for AJ Darkholme quotes but they don’t exist on the app.

Great App Gone Sour
This latest update is a cruel April Fool's joke. The app crashes every time I try to open it, and I fear I have lost the hundreds of personal quotes I stored in it. I do not understand the need for images, either. Fix the bugs in the update!

Great app!
I'm an avid reader & amateur writer. Every writer needs a quote database & I've been keeping a log of my favorites for years. No longer do I have an endless stream of them on my notepad. With this tool I can add & organize quotes by author & subject. Not to mention the wealth of new ones already within the app. Being able to backup to email is a added bonus. I will definitely recommend this one to my friends.

Only my phone, email, and calendar apps get more use than this. Well-designed, transparent UI that brings thoughtfully selected quotes to me and doesn’t get between us. Very well done and a pleasure to use.

Not as good as I had hoped
Not worth the money, as little as it is. Lots of quotes, but few are profound. The settings are rigid.
The app doesn't allow personal categories or tags to be added. That is huge to me. Their categories are random and badly decided. And each quote added can only be put in one category. That is too arbitrary to be a good app to me.
You can't tag a favorite quote writer, just their quotes.
The background pictures get overused so it is sometimes better to turn them off.
The search function is way too broad. There is no way to narrow the search.
In all, not an app I use as much as I had hoped.

Good looking. Pleasant to browse. US centric it seems. Tedious to enter your own quotes, therefore limited. But nice. Nice app.
