No longer works
The app hasn’t been updated since 2025 and it no longer works with the Remarkable. It used to be great and worked like a charm, but the Remarkable software has progressed beyond the app and the app can no longer connect.

No longer works on Remarkable after 11/2025 Update
This app worked great up until November 2025 when it stopped connecting to the Remarkable after its software update. It now returns an error:
SocketException: Connection refused (OS Error: Connection refused, errno = 61), address = 192.168.1.116, port = 65127
Verify your reMarkable is awake and that you have entered the correct ip address. After waking up, your reMarkable may take a moment to be recognized.

Has stopped working
Was a great App. Since the last remarkable update it has stopped with the Error:

Was great until it wasn’t
Used this almost a year and besides the fact I had to add screens after every update it was great. U til this last time it won’t connect at all been trying for over a week still nothing. So frustrating
Uses of battery & no option to delete on app
Three stars because the app did exactly what it said it would do. The only downside is that:
A) You will lose a lot of battery because the device is always on and no way to turn off
B) There is no way to delete your account after use meaning that your account is always in the database

I installed the app on my IPhone and IMac. Tried several photos. Need to restart everytime which I kind of expected. Fanstastic results, takes any photo and transforms into black and white and you can see it before you load it the device. The possibilities are endless. I like the options currently with Sleep, or Restart. I have different images and they both work great! Highly recommend this app if you have the ReMARKable2. Thanks for creating!

Very Good App
I was downloading the remarkable app when I came across this app and I’ve always wanted a screen saver for my remarkable that didn’t have any watermarks and when I downloaded this app it was so easy to connect and download the screensaver

Great tool to update the sleep screens. 100 % recommended.
Does What It Says
Works fine, you put in your IP and root password for the Remarkable and it automates the process of changing certain screens. You can do all this manually but having a tool that can quickly automate the process is nice.
Amazing!
This is the perfect utility for your reMarkable – easy to use, and for the time being free! You can create your own drawing on the tablet, export it as a PNG, then use it as a screen via this utility. It's really straightforward (the instructions are nice and clear; there's even a test button to make sure you're properly connected) and you no longer need to hack into your reMarkable via SSH or whatever. Totally recommended!

Wonderful!
This App is really simple and easy to use! I'm really enjoying my remarkable and I've just used your app to put a picture of my cat as the 'Sleeping Screen'. It the detailed picture shows me just how good the e-ink screen is on the remarkable!
Do Not Use
This app is very easy to use...you can't mess it up. So I blame the app itself. I used it, it modified my sleep screen, and cause my reMarkable to have changes in font, screens layered on on top of another, and would not turn off. The Turn Off and Cancel buttons no longer worked. After much trouble shooting, I have to send my reMarkable back for a clean software install. There's probably not ill intent behind this app, but it doesn't work and I do not recomend it.

Hi m10climber - the reMarkable sleep screens are stored as images on the device. The app simply uploads the image of your choice to the reMarkable so you do not need to do so manually. Simply replacing the image on the device should not cause the issues you are describing - it seems highly likely that they were caused by something else.
