About
Build your sight-reading speed, one note at a time.
Note Sprint turns sheet music practice into a simple, timed piano game. Read the note on the staff, find its key, and hear a sampled grand piano as you play. Practice treble clef, bass clef, or both, then challenge yourself to beat your best score and streak.
PRACTICE YOUR WAY
• Choose treble clef, bass clef, or both.
• Expand each clef’s range by up to two octaves above or below its base octave.
• Practice natural notes and add sharps or flats for an extra challenge.
• Show or hide white-key note names as your confidence grows.
• Choose rounds from 30 seconds to five minutes.
PLAY AND HEAR EACH NOTE
Play on a responsive piano keyboard with keys that stay visibly pressed while you hold them. Sampled Yamaha grand piano tones bring each note to life, while immediate visual feedback shows whether your answer was correct.
CONNECT YOUR MIDI KEYBOARD
Use a compatible MIDI keyboard with your iPad or Mac for practice on physical keys. MIDI answers must match both the displayed note and its octave, helping you connect the staff to the keyboard.
TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
Earn one point for each correct answer and lose one for each mistake. Build consecutive correct answers to improve your best streak, and return to challenge your personal best score. Mistakes let you try the note again.
KEEP YOUR FOCUS
A clean, dark interface keeps attention on the music. Choose a light or dark sheet music panel to suit your preference.
Whether you’re learning to read music or refreshing your skills, make a little time for Note Sprint—and see how many notes you can read before the timer runs out.
