Can’t restore my account
So now I can’t restore my account on my iPad or iPhone, so basically it was a scam, I emailed them and got no response there needs to be an update to fix this

I use this as my main note taking app. However, it can’t handle pictures. If you try to upload a picture, it automatically closes out the app and won’t show the picture in the note. But it’s great if you’re just typing

Unterstützt nur iCloud - Notizen, die außerhalb der iCloud liegen können nicht bearbeitet und noch nicht mal geöffnet werden. Die Notizen, die mit der App erzeugt werden sind eingesperrt und können nur per Export außerhalb der App geöffnet oder bearbeitet werden. Da hat man mit Markdown schon ein wunderbares Format, das weit verbreitet unterstützt wird, aber in dieser App bleibt man eingesperrt.

The design is nice, and it does the job. I could use some folders.
Good App
It’s a great app! I use it and highly recommend it. However, I’d love to see an update for macOS Tahoe 26 and a feature for multiple windows. That would really help with productivity flow.

The app is amazing and fast
It’s good and fast. I think the website is no longer available so it’s kinda hard to figure out shortcuts for markdown and on iphone it works good but on ipad the app is a little glitchy. Hope they all will be fixed soon

5* EDIT - Lifetime Premium revoked?
Happy and thankful to be proven wrong, and in such a short amount of time too. I’ve kept my original review at the end just to provide context to the Dev Response, but before that I figure it’s best to provide an updated version:
Originally, due to over a year of no updates and seemingly no online presence, I said Spaces was “great, but it’s undeniably dead”. Which seems unfair in hindsight, given I wouldn’t say the same thing about pen & paper.
What I said still stands, it’s a great app. And I paid like £30 for it…I wanna say 4 years ago? If I didn’t receive a single update since purchase, I wouldn’t have complained, because it just works.
And while other apps have tried to incentivise me to ‘upgrade’ my ‘lifetime license’ to “enjoy additional features” like…AI integration…Spaces has just been here, the whole time, continuously reliable. I hate that the bar is THIS low, but it is, and Spaces absolutely clears it.
I’ve not had a single problem with the app since I first downloaded it, and it has continued to be everything I need in a note taking app and nothing more.
Overall it’s an easy 5 stars- too often you see a good app ruined by unnecessary UI overhauls and bloated features, so I’m weirdly thankful for the inactivity. Would be nice to have a dedicated site for future issues though. GitHub Pages are free, so that could be a good option?
Oh, and I should mention, I believe the help sections that previously led to malicious websites have now been entirely removed from the app, so that’s no longer a cause for concern

I bought lifetime premium access to Spaces a few years ago now, I had already accepted development was dead when I noticed the support links all lead to either malicious spam adverts or for sale domains. But the random update they dropped yesterday after a year+ of no releases has totally cut off my premium plan, with ‘Restore Purchases’ saying that I never brought premium to begin with. I’m inclined to believe the update was pushed by Apple rather than the actual dev team, which is a shame because that likely means I’ll never get any support for this- I’d love to be proven wrong though.
The app itself is great, but it’s undeniably dead. And that’s unfortunate, because I dread having to migrate all my notes…

Was good, no longer syncing
Got Spaces when it first game out and instantly loved the features and look. Was very promising, even got a lifetime subscription. Then there was long bouts of silence and no updates for a long time. Now my lifetime sub isn’t picked up under “restore” and I now have no access to my Spaces/notes
New owner?
Updated from 26.7 to v27.0 and my lifetime purchase is no longer honoured when choosing to restore purchase. Clicking the support link takes you to an ad network which is appalling behaviour.
I will report this to Apple and if you are similarly affected I would suggest you do the same.

Good while it lasted, not updated anymore
The app is so forgotten that two new domain names have been bought, and lapsed, for this app. It’s fine as a basic markdown-based app, but in 2025 Notes.app has all the features Spaces first implemented.

big promises at the beginning to take peoples money but it never worked well and never delivered any new meaningful features. Bear is way way better - don’t buy
