ABA Looks Great, But IS Harmful in Practice

When I first turned to ABA, I was desperate for help and believed the promises. But after a year of tracking, token systems, and forced eye contact, my child’s anxiety skyrocketed. He stopped trusting adults — including me.
I wish more parents knew they don’t have to choose this path. There are alternatives that build connection and teach through collaboration, not control. Respect isn’t optional in therapy — it’s the foundation.
