Welp they wanted a review
Won’t let me listen, asked for one before I listened to one only to find out, you need a $50 subscription to do anything so unless your willing to shell out a ton of money don’t waste your time
It is literally the worst app ever, Does one thing:
All it did was download, ask me to pay to use it. I declined it was $60 for 1 year. Then it prompted me to a 50% offer. So I said dang that’s a good deal (It is, if your buying something that is actually worth $60 to begin with), so there I go and of course I buy it. Dumbest move I have ever made. So I was like well if it does what it says it does then that’s a sweet deal. After paying it directed me to the Home Screen. Consisting of like 5 buttons that are for different ways to submit your prompt such as text, pdf, a PowerPoint etc. That’s is it. You can “submit” the prompt but nothing ever gets created. And if something does it is just a 15 sec preview of the “locked” version which I assume is what I paid for. That is all the app does, you can uninstall it and reinstall it. You will end up, exactly at the top of this review. It will take you through the whole process again even the so called “one time 50% off offer” after you decline the first one. I want my money back but I see no customer service section in the app.

Charging for a free service
As far as I can see, this app charges for a service that is offered for free in a web browser by Google, who created and owns Notebook LM. You just need a Google account. The UI is good but it only accepts one PDF source, whereas you can input multiple sources in the free Google version. There is currently no official iOS app.

There’s a reason there’s no free trial
I paid $12 after uploading 5 pages of study info. I even chose the long detailed option and it spit out a 3 min “podcast” it didn’t cover everything.
You have to pay just to put something down
I’m a student and can’t afford this!!
Waste of money
Makes you pick a plan and after you pay , It doesn’t even let you do anything bc. I uploaded a pdf and It kept making the podcast about something else
don’t waste money
horrible, I payed $12 after I choose “long podcast in great depth” for a 4 page document I need to know for an exam. After paying they gave me 3 MINUTE podcast. Can’t express how bad this app is.
no one has responded problem
I am extremely disappointed with the service. I have already paid for a one-year subscription, yet I still cannot use it. What’s even more frustrating is that I have reached out multiple times, but no one has responded to my requests for help.
I just need a refund
Second review on here. I’ve emailed a million times and I cannot get a freakin response. App says there’s a 5 day refund policy and I was disappointed day 1. Why is it so impossible to get a response??? Do not use this app. Don’t pay them anything.
Scammy
I paid for the subscription for one year, it expires inn2026 and I realize that now t can’t access any saved files nor create anything- it’s asking me to pay for a subscription?! What is this?
Useless
Why make the app free if you can’t generate a single podcast without paying for premium? Just make me pay for the app in the first place!!!
Do not waste your time and money
This app is a joke. Said I had to subscribe for the longer detailed podcasts so I did and the “long detailed” podcasts are like 6-7 minutes and terribly put together. Just use notebook LM on google. It’s free and creates actually decent podcasts. Emailed customer service about all my issues twice and no response. They will take your money and ignore you. Do NOT give them anything.

I had downloaded this app back in December. It wouldn’t let me move on to the next page so I subscribe for the 1 month it then ended up charging me for a year I then had to take my card off my Apple wallet and it still continues to charge me when I never subscribe to 1 year.
Scam
This app is scam. I provided design and theme park-related topics, but it keeps generating irrelevant content like environments and black hole contexts instead.
Misleading
This isn’t a freemeium app. You can’t use it all without a subscription. Can’t lead with lies.
It’s not ready to use
Even login is not straightforward.
Untrustworthy Subscription Service
Opted for the yearly subscription and was charged for it. Not even a month in and can’t use the app unless I subscribe for a monthly or yearly subscription meanwhile my current subscription is still active.

Can’t do anything without spending money.
This app isn’t ready for use
Totally disappointed with this. Can’t figure out how to connect to my desktop account. I can’t tell what it does as everything is blocked until you upgrade which is dumb as I can’t see what I’m buying. So effectively it doesn’t actually do anything until you upgrade to something unknown.
Bit of a shame as the web version is beyond awesome and truly does accelerate learning.
Please sort it out - I would certainly pay if I felt I was getting a good quality product/service.
