About
Notif is built around one idea: some things don't need to be marked "done" — they just need to keep happening. Trash day, watering the plants, taking your medication, an anniversary — these aren't tasks to complete, they're rhythms to repeat. So Notif has no checkmark, no completion button, and no streak to break. Set it up once, and it keeps notifying you on schedule, indefinitely.
Setting up a reminder takes three fields: a name, a time, and how often it repeats. No multi-step wizard, no extra screens — you're done in seconds.
Choose how it repeats:
- Daily
- Weekly, on the days you pick
- Monthly, on a specific day (rolls over automatically at month-end, so day 31 still fires in a 30-day month)
- Yearly, on a specific month and day (same automatic rollover for Feb 29)
- Every N days, for anything on an odd cycle
- Once, for a single reminder that doesn't repeat
Give each reminder an emoji icon from a set of 42, grouped by category — chores, plants and pets, health, celebrations, daily life, work and study, money and travel — so your list is easy to scan at a glance. The icon also shows up right in the notification itself. The list shows each reminder's next fire date and time at a glance, and you can reorder it by hand with a drag handle.
The design is minimal and Notion-like, with full support for both light and dark mode.
Typical ways people use Notif:
- Trash and recycling day
- Watering plants or feeding pets
- Medication and contact lens replacement
- Birthdays and anniversaries
- Paying rent or recurring bills
- Anything else that happens on a schedule but isn't really a "task"
Notif is completely free — no ads, no in-app purchases, no account required. It collects no data of any kind: no analytics, no tracking, no server. Every reminder is a standard local iOS notification stored only on your device. It's a small, focused utility, not a platform.
