Useful but kludgy
I like the information, the serious tone of the writing, and the lack of soft news and celebrity baloney stories. However, the user interface isn’t comfortable to me. Also, I wish the “home” button took the user to something like a homepage. I much prefer the website to the app but at least I have access to serious news on my iPad. Also, I find the attention to grammar and punctuation very important.

Repetitive but better than most
Most news apps are chock full of ads and paid placement. This is much better in that regard.
However their definition of “NEWS” needs help. I am constantly shown repeats of news I saw days ago, and often presented months old publications as if they are new developments. It’s annoying, frustrating, and needs to be fixed.
