Inconsistent story quality

I was very excited about this app when I started reading my first novel. I don’t know if all of these are written by AI, or by authors, or by a combination above. The writing at the beginning of the story it was really good. I was surprised.

Then everything changed. It was as though somebody flipped a switch, and the quality of the writing crashed and burned. Dialogue became stilted and amateurish, and the plot completely shifted and didn’t make any sense.

I can put up with frequent ads. And I don’t mind watching a video to get 15 minutes of ad free reading. But unfortunately, I had to delete this app because it just was not worth reading it all.

Ads even if you pay

I bought coins so I could read several chapters and keep getting stopped by ads. There are too many ads and I keep having to exit & come back in to even go forward in the excessively short “chapters.”
Because it’s so aggravating and greedy I decided that once I use the rest of my coins, I won’t even care if I finish the story, I will remove the app and not come back.

Completely fails to follow any kind of logical standards as far as protocol hospitals, police for poisoning, causing death. Getting deleted.

Hong Kong book app

This along with all the other ones that say, HK technology. These are horrible apps. They cost way too much money. They are unoriginal. They cannot write the English language. They have poor grammar, and they are making way too much money off of these poorly written books. At this point people, we should just go back to paperback books. Some apps were fine at first, but now it’s gotten ridiculous. Avoid foreign apps at all cost.

It is a great app not to many ads but I can use any of the coins I’ve earned or purchased for ad free time. And after the most recent update I can’t listen to music while reading. Please fix!!!

I was enjoying the story even though it had many misspelled words and fragmented sentences. The story was good.
However, I got right about the middle part of the story and BOOM the book is no where to be found. I’m fed up with these apps that get you hooked on a story and the it’s gone or they want a kings ransom to read it.
I’m deleting this app and all the others like it. I will stick with AUDIBLE. At least I will be able to finish the story!

Started out good now frustrated

I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of the app. The ads weren’t bad and I didn’t mind them. Now, every few seconds the ads keep popping up. I can’t even read a full sentence without one popping up!

Terrible app. Too many very long ads too often.

Can’t get past two or three pages before being interrupted by ads, many of which are about 120 seconds long.

Not user friendly at all!

The ongoing stories are fairly good, though they seem to be AI generated and include serious errors, such as placing Kyoto (Japan) in China. Character names get changed on a regular basis.
But my big gripe is that it kicks me out of the stories I’m reading with no way to either go back or access the library. Some stories seem to be frozen mid-story, with no ending in sight.
A very brief tutorial or FYI file to say how to get this to work properly would go a long way to fix the ‘can’t go back or access library’ problems. But even that won’t help the formula plots.

This app is one of the best apps out there for free reading. The ads are not anything compared to other reading apps, the amount of time on an ad is nothing and if you want to read longer, you can watch a minute and a half ad in read for 15 minutes I would highly recommend getting this app if you’d like to read and not have to pay an enormous amount for an app.

Too many ads you can’t enjoy a story

This app looked ok and it’s free which attracts a solid customer base, however there is nothing more disappointing when “Ad 1 of 3” turns up on the screen - you watch more ads than reading time as sometimes they are over 2 mins long, repeating the same ad over and over before you can get back to the story. The constant stopping of a story with “to be continued “ is frustrating for readers leading to you leaving the book altogether rather than “being hooked and can’t wait for more” - there are so many free novel apps with ads - however the ads in this app are excessive

Very upset

I would have given this five stars a week ago, however I was on chapter 86 and now my book is “not found” and I can’t finish reading it. It was so good I couldn’t put it down. Just as it was climaxing now I can’t finish. WTF. I am so upset. Boo on you for either screwing people or not checking that all is good in your app.

I’m viewing more ads than I’m actually reading. Like seriously, every 1 or 2 pages there’s a ad and it’s not to say it’s 30s long, noooo, it’s a whole min long or probably more. I get you need to advertise the ads, but people are coming here to read not to constantly be seeing ads more than they can actually read.

Buy coin so you don’t get ads they said. SCAM. Pay for coins and inundated with ads. Try to contact support, but it’s set up so it’s impossible to sent any kind of feedback. Save your money. Better yet, delete the app. It’s not worth the time.

The basic stories are good, but need substantial editing for inconsistencies. Also, only completed novels should be included. Having the reader spend days on an incomplete work is annoying, at best.

The story I was reading was great through around chapter 200 and then it just started that chapter on repeat. Gone through chapter 280 and it still hasn’t updated to a new chapter to read. So disappointing. Glad I’ve gone through watching ads for the story because otherwise paying for it would have been highway robbery.

How can you say this is free when it totally is not. Free doesn’t mean after you get interested that you have to buy coins to continue reading. I have tried several apps that says free reading but they are not. Either you watch 10 video adds or you pay for the coins. HOW IS THIS FREE???
