Need automatic announcements of date and time regularly or every hour or 2 hours etc , then app will be VERY useful . Talking companion ….

Repeat time and date every hour would be extremely useful .

Question

I set the announcement to go off every hour. Why is it only announcing the time? I expected it to announce the date. Is there a way to make it announce the date without having to click on the screen?

Hi Dañiel! It’s currently only possible to to get automatic announcements of the time, simply because that’s the only announcement that has been requested so far. Doesn’t work at all. You have to tap the screen for it to say the date and time. Useless!!!

What you are describing is in fact the intended use case of the app. The app was created for users who wanted the date and time read to them by the tap of a button. There is also the possibility to get the date and time read to you at regular intervals when the app is in active state. You’ll find this option behind the premium paywall. It doesn’t WORK!

I brought the premium to be able to get SET Announcement times. But it don’t work, reached out to Dev. NEVER got a respond. DONOT buy! 😒

Hi there! 👋🏻 So sorry to hear the app is not working for you. Thank you for reaching out through this review. We did actually send you a reply the same day we received your email, but received a Delivery Status Notification caused by your inbox being full. To answer your question: Announcements can be toggled on or off by the middle setting, and when it’s toggled on you can set it to announce the time hourly, every half hour or every quarter of an hour. Announcement work when the app is in active state. In addition you can set the start and end of the day, to make sure it does not announce the time during the night. To enable this feature you toggle the bottom setting on and specify the start and end of the day by pressing the sun and the moon icon. Best, Anton at Kattbjörn

Hi there! 👋🏻 The clock is speaking the time and date when you press the time, no matter if you are premium or not. Premium offers speaking at predefined intervals. The app is respecting the phone setting for silent mode.
