Freezing on the Chart screen

This is a great app that I have been using for many years. Would give it 5 stars for its functionality and simplicity, however lately it has started to freeze when navigating the Chart screen. Have to shut it down a few times before it comes to life again. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Best time tracking app

I've reviewed this one before and I'll sum up that old review by saying this app is fantastic. It's the best time tracker I know of by quite a bit. There's only one other in the running and it has an expensive subscription, and isn't even as good.

But the reason I'm doing a new review is this app only has an iOS 13 widget. That widget works well on iOS 13-17 but it doesn't work at all on iOS 18 and newer, and that's a big deal for an app you want to quickly interact with. Hopefully the developer will add new interactive widgets for recent versions of iOS and WatchOS.

It can occasionally hang on iOS 13-18, requiring a force-close. This didn't happen on iOS 12. It's been about that long since the app was updated so I'm not holding my breath for a fix. Similarly iCloud sync stopped working years ago.

I'd really like a two-column view. I can give my categories short names to make it work on my phone. I think that's better than scrolling, and I think multi-column would be great on iPad.

Anyway, it's still the best app of its kind.

Freezes with iOS 26

Love this app and have been using it for a few years. I just got a new iPhone and am now intermittently experiencing freezes where the app is completely non responsive. I hope the developers can fix this soon! I don’t want to have to find another app. This one is great for my needs.

Intuitive interface but freezes

I love this app, it’s very useful. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because it freezes when I open the app to view my time tracking data. When I change my view (day, week, month) it freezes and doesn’t allow me to change my view again or do anything else on the app. I have to restart the app over and over. Using English version.

Useful and functional

Fell in love with the free version after just one day using it and didn't think twice about supporting the devs and getting pro. Great job right here!

Simple and Useful

I like how it’s very easy to use, since I don’t prefer apps with multiple functions. I would really love if I can change the theme color though. Red is kind of intimidating for me, so it would be more than perfect if I can choose another color or even change back to blue (from the free version). Thanks for the app anyway:)

Very good but needs an Apple Watch app

Thank you for the excellent app that is simple and convenient. Only one suggestion: please make an Apple Watch app. Thanks a lot!

It can occasionally hang when switching to the app on iOS 13.x and higher - including iOS 17.x - which is a bit of a shame.

Still better than most

This app has truly held up to the test of time and is still worth the investment.

Yes, it’s been a minute since this was updated. The app has been around even longer.

I would imagine the simplicity of the app has helped it stay viable. It does what it claims to do and does it well. With severe ADHD (inattentive), I have tried most of the reasonably priced time tracking apps for the past 10 years. Here’s why this app is still my #1 go to:

1. It’s fast: to load and to enter a new task on the fly - I can always drill down later.

2. I can add as much or as little detail as I want.

3. For me, it’s incredibly intuitive.

4. It enables “by the clock” and color-coded analysis of how you spend your time over a few days, weeks, months.

5. It reminds you to use it at intervals you set.

6. It still works; very stable with minimal bugs (I’m running current version of iOS 18).

You should totally skip this app if:

- you like complicated data entry
- you want constant upgrades that might break something else
- you want more flexibility with colors
- you want to use this on a device other than iPhone or iPad (like Apple Watch, Web based,
Mac)
- you don’t like nesting categories
- you want templates
- you want updates (I’m trying to cajole the original al developers to return to the app)
- you have an eidetic memory of how you’ve spent your time.

I truly hope to see enough advancements to keep it functional as new versions of iOS are released. Adding features would be gravy.

Stops working often

The “then” section hangs very frequently.

Great App

Functional, customizable and if you're looking for tracking for time management, it's great.

Good app. Could use a few tweaks

Great app. Love all the sections, color coding and sub tasks. Only thing I wish it had was integration between my iPad and my phone and for it to run on the background of my Lock Screen but when I inquired, they were responsive and said they were working on it.

Not getting updated…

In the latest ios update, starting to fail and sync… no response from feedback team so time to move on I guess… would avoid from now. It is 4 years since any update and no longer works seriously

only thing i could ask for it maybe multitasking

so simple and straight to the point

Interesting

It's one of those apps that you want to learn to use. So that's already a good thing. I think one of the main things that can be updated if possible is the wiglet. It gives you option of opening the drop down list of tasks you set up to track. But if I click on a task, it takes me to the "then" page that has everything summed up. At bare minimum it should take me to the now page so I can click on which ever task I need to start tracking (the way it does with a task already being timed in background). Ultimately would be nice to hit play and stop in the wiglet section, but I don't know if this is an option. I also find the play/stop buttons rather small. I sometimes hit the description instead of the play/stop. Also, personally, I hold my phone with left hand and tap on stuff using right hand. So the fact that these important play/stop buttons are all the way on the left side of the phone makes it more of a commitment. I already see this wouldn't be the best app to use on the go. Only for stuff you sit down at a desk and have time to slowly and carefully select. Also the weekly view. I'm not sure (with so many other options available) how come it's not an option to scroll instead of jumping week to week. Also don't understand why is the current day of the week highlighted when viewing future weeks. I understand highlighting current day on any colander as a point of reference. Also like others said, can't track stuff simultaneously. I'll be looking out for updates, but maybe this is just not for me.

Great App!

If you need an app to help track your day this is a great app! Very easy to use, with a low learning curve. I love that under each category I can have sub-categories, and I can create my own categories to meet my needs. Thank you for a great app!

Love this app (and update recommendations)

Love this app, I have had it for almost 4 years now! If they ever do updates it would be great to have an apple watch version so that you can change activities without having to get your phone out.

Unique approach to an age-old question

One of the aspects I love about this app is you are ultimately in control of what you do and when you do it. Maybe, it’s me, but too many organisational apps have your life mapped out! And that to me is pressure and overkill. You can create as many sub-task levels as you like. What I also love about this app is it’s intuitive and simplified approach to setting up, and getting things done. I found if I have a question, the developer would get back to me within 24/48 hours. If there’s one thing I would wish for it’s the ability to put an hourly rate for work carried out for clients, but that’s no biggy as you already have time calculated.
