Nptr is a fantastic app
The main function is to transform photos into paintings, and it's great for that, but there's a lot more you can do with it. You can start with random color patterns and create great textures and paintings from scratch. There is a nptr Flickr group where you can see the great work people have done with it.

This app is easy to use, completely stable and the most fun drawing app I have ever used. These interactive photo effects are very unique. I have dozens of drawing and effects apps, paid & free, and this one is exceptionally excellent.
Why is the rating so low? Read these reviews... Those who are trying, deleting this app and giving it such low ratings obviously don't appreciate sophisticated photo effects apps like this one.

Love the many different effects!!
awesome!
i use all sorts of photo and drawing apps. this is fast, works perfectly, and you can make endless awesome stuff. i combine it with apps like polarize, dxp, toycamera, and so forth to get amazing effects that get compliments on flickr and other photo/art sharing sites. and best of all: free!
A Solid, Simple App
This app is very to-the-point and easy to use. I'm able to make some pretty neat effects in a short amount of time. At the moment, this is a lot like an interactive Photoshop filter. I hope I can do more complex effects in future versions.
