Great app
This was a great app for studying. I averaged about 75% in the app and I got a 79% on my exam. The one thing I wish would have been different in the app was the ability to choose questions that I hadn’t seen before. Sometimes in a 10-question practice exam only 1 or 2 questions would be different than ones I had seen previously, so that sometimes made studying monotonous and feel like a waste of time. On the other hand, driving those answers home through repetition can also be a good study habit, so some people may like that. I think it would be good to give users the option of whether they want new questions every time or not (or at least, there should be more than 1 or 2 new questions per exam until you get through them all). Overall I took 131 exams (some exams were 5 questions and some were 10 questions) and by the time my exam day came I still hadn’t gotten through about 140 questions. I still would recommend the app though, I found it a really useful study aid in addition to reading and taking notes on the textbook. This app and the textbook were the only study materials I used.

Don't rely on this app too heavily
If you're expecting this app to get you through your exam, it won't. Studying the book and doing their practice tests are a lot better. This app has some useful knowledge but don't think that it will get you through the CPT exam.

Amazing app, I only used the NSCA textbook and this app to study and passed first time with 80%. The questions are written similarly to the ones on the exam. This app has questions about exercises that were not in the book like T-tests and other polymeric training, which help with rounding out your exercise library. I can confidently say that this app played a major role in preparing me for the exam.

So far all of the questions in this app are covered in the study materials I recently purchased on the NSCA’s website. This app is a free study guide!! If you are pursuing your certification, you need to get this app. It tracks your areas of strengths and weaknesses in the exam areas we will be tested on. I’m glad that I found this app and am excited to be using it!

Perfect study app
This app is so well designed, has proper references, excellent ways to teach you what you did wrong when you miss something...I've learned more from this app in 3 weeks than I have reading my book so far. It's THAT good. Same information as your study book, just laid out very professionally and easy to understand. Best $13 I've spent on an app.

Passed my exam
Found this app a week before my exam and it totally helped me recognize questions on the test. Also great tips for taking the test! So very happy with paying $12 for the help! Sure wished I'd found this earlier! But hey passed the test so who cares when I found this great app!
Super Helpful
After taking a few practice tests a day on this app, I felt really prepared for my exam. While taking the exam I was able to remember quite a few of the questions and topics covered in the app. Much easier than reading the entire book, and more fun. Allowed me to pass the exam with an 87%, next is the CSCS!

Great study tool, definitely worth it!
This app was great! Helped me pass my exam with an 85%! I bought it a week before my exam and used it as much as I could. It helped expose my weaknesses and I love how it gives you an explanation why something is the right answer. It also references the pages of the NSCA personal training book where the information can be found.
If you are on the fence about this app hear me out. I have a BS in Exercise Science and although the classes I took helped prepare me for the exam, this app covered a lot of great material that I needed a refresher in. You will not be disappointed.

Great study aid!
Love having this app on my phone to help me study! My favorite part is that the answers to the questions include a reference chapter in the NSCA-CPT textbook. I feel a lot more confident in my knowledge when I do well in the questions. Fingers crossed it carries over to my upcoming exam!
Helped me pass my exam
This app helped me earn a 90% on my NSCA CPT exam. I was very satisfied with this app and know I got my money's worth. The explanations after you get a question wrong are very thorough and it references the page number from the book if you want to further look into the topic, which I believe is the most valuable part of the app. The questions this app provides are competent in comparison to the ones on the actual exam and are at about the same level of difficulty. You won't find too many questions on the exam that are harder than these.
Before taking the exam I was regularly getting 90%+ on 25 question practice exams. Two weeks, one week, and the day before my exam I took 100 question practice exams and was also able to receive at least a 90% on those. I also recommend after you answer each question to take a mental note on why you chose that question and make sure it somewhat matches with the reasoning the app provides.
I highly recommend this app if you're on the fence about purchasing it and it saves a lot of money in comparison to buying all the study materials available out there.
