This app is not useful to keep the citizens of Nueces County safe and informed. We don’t need the Sheriff to tell us what the forecast of the day will be, we didn’t vote for a weatherman. What we need is a Sheriff and Sheriff’s Office to help keep us safe, that’s what we voted for and that’s what this app needs to be used for. They could do this by informing us of inmates escaping…a BOLO of sort. They could keep our community safer by being honest and handing over files the DA has requested. It gives the SO a negative spotlight and really appears they have something to hide. We need an app and a Sheriff who will inform the citizens of real issues and real concerns, not using our tax dollars to have someone from the SO telling me it’s going to rain today…especially when it doesn’t.
